I have had an E-mail from Maintenance Direct to say they now require a sign off sheet when job is complete, and copies of suppliers invoices to make sure the correct mark up for spares has been applied.Also proof of disposal costs. And that random jobs will be audited by the Insurance company. and if you cannot proved all paper work you will not be paid.

Its got a free 5 year parts and labour warranty from Miele so why take out a 3 year warranty with Comet, the sales person was talking a load of rubbish .

The Miele Warranty means no repair bills for breakdowns for 5 years, or call outs.

A hissing sound when closing door is a normal sound , its just the warm air cooling down rapidly causing a vacuum inside freezer. Cold air takes up less space than warm air, it just means you freezer is well sealed from outside air.

The tacho is a coil with 2 wires and other part is a magnet that should be attached to the motor shaft inside the coil . The magnet spins causing a current that the pcb senses,if the magnet is not attached to the shaft the motor will spin out of control.

Check the motor wiring and the tacho on the back of the motor, the tachosdo come loose or fall off and this will cause motor to go into uncontroled spin.

Unplug before working on machine , and only test using a multimeter.
