    Re: Comet

Not just Croyden but every service centre in the whole of the UK, every stores person, every call centre staff, every brown goods bench engineer, every computer engineer, every manager put on notice. Absolutely gutted for them all 😥

Common faults on Hotpoints, 1 min left to go, 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time it’s caused by the heater or the NTC.
Now and again it can be caused by the Module but this tends to be rare unless you can hear the heater relay chatter during the wash cycle

Thanks Jackel, reading between the lines, I don’t think it will effect Engineers, more support staff than anything. Fingers crossed

COO140792 – Display card is just a drop in part, nice and easy. You don’t have to program, it comes complete. The main pcb is bottom right at the back, this is the one you have to program

Re: Samsung RSH Range Inherent Fault?

The first mod was the wires to the ntc’s falling off, then the ally foil to hide the liners that had caught fire, then the safety mod of the inline fuse. Now they have a mod kit that’s supposed to cure the ice build up in the fridge. It’s bits of plstic, a few bits of foam and a new sensor plus very sketchy instructions about reprogramming the eprom so the defrost time is extended.( mod kit number DA8101997A)……Yet to see one work and I have seen loads of kits fitted by lots of different engineers. I wouldn’t have a Samsung even if you gave me one for free. ( Take it that it’s the same at Preston Helo_75 😉 ).

We have seen quite a few around the UK and one of the lads has got an insurence inspection either tomorrow or monday so he will be sending me the photographs in of the damage. Nearly as bad as the exploding Candy/Hoover range. 😕

    Re: Hpt BFV620 BI Dishwasher

ERROR3 ( First 2 lights flashing ) blocked pump or outlet hoses, takes longer than 4 minutes to drain, the old chip fat down the drain hose is a favourite if the pump sounds ok 😆
