sounds like the noise you used to get on the old 95’s when the metal around the damper used to crack. I’d look for metal failure at the joints between bottom and sides.

    good luck wilf

been using the qualtex stuff for a couple of years now with good results you must realy clean the surfaces and degrease first. I always use one tube for one job and discard any left over as it seems to form a solid bung in the tube once the air gets to it.

    Re: RCD tripping house mains?

I cant remember the title but I had cause to check in a book on modern regs (done my time on 14 th edition) nowadays its all talk of disconnection time etc but the point that the author made which stuck with me was “it is sometimes usefull to leave certain circuits off the RCD e.g. cookers to prevent nusance tripping” make of this what you will but I have come across computer circuits freezer circuit etc all seperate from RCD ” TO SAFEGUARD THE APPLIANCE ” so whats the point then? any comments?

Re: DHL and Their Lifestyle Couriers Grrrrr?

last two deliveries from D H L just didnt bother to deliver I found that the clown a a driver had just labled the box return to sender and had not even attempted to deliver.apparantly they can now hand scan the codes and no one queries why they dont deliver. my frantic phone calls managed to hold the parcel at the depot and I then had to fetch them myself (a 25 mile round trip). we cant and wouldnt expect to treat our customers like this so why should we accept this rubbish?

titanium drills burn out for me. best way to remove spider I have found is to “carefully “cut through the spider arm and bolt as close as possible to the drum with an angle grinder. this will reduce the fixing thread to just a couple of turns which is of little resistance.
mind you I bet the spider isnt broken there too chunky proberbly a bearing

looks like spot burns like you get when welding. was dryer not used for some time? might be scale stuck to dryer heater (or even sleeving from blown faulty heater) dislodged when hot and blown into washing this would only burn small patches as it would soon cool. worth having a look inside heater box.

as for advice. look after your customers. if you say you’ll call after three then call after three dont think you can put it off untill when “you feel like it”. if the part doesnt show up then ring and tell them 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of them will understand the other 1{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} you dont want anyway. I have had lots of my customers coming back (with friends and family) for thirty years. charge a reasonable price, your a profesional tradesman would you expect to have a first class service on say your car for “discount prices no call out charge?” you can rip anyone off once but only once you can do a good job with good reward again and again.
