Re: It’s not commercial use… Honest!

domestic machines are quite often used for commercial use which given the price difference is hardly supprising at 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} tax write off each year for smaller users this fine so long as they dont expect a gurantee. Ive several customers who use and replace and get along just fine in fact a local vet has only just gone over to commercial machines as the surgery has now out grown two zanussi running all day.
the problem starts when the machine type difference is not pointed out first or not accepted by the buyer, vacuums are worse 3 acres of office carpet and a second hand 1334 from the car boot sale ,say no more.

Re: Tricity-Bendix Cooker fan moter screws

get some 50 or 60 mm long screws cut the heads off screw in a few turns then push the motor in from behind. it will hold on the screws and can be pulled from inside it lines up perfectly and one at a time take out the studs from the inside and put in the screws.
just like fitting an o.c.v. on a 3174…. sad old bu###r!!!!

took out a brand new hotpoint wf 530 today turned it on it did exactly the same fills continually untill switched off at the mains much the same board as the indesit and just as cr***y customer asked us to get this machine especially so she doesnt mind having to wait untill next week for a replacement.
why when theres a huge electronics industry r&d cant they get it right or at least sort it out ?

also a fire hazard as any accidental combustion would not be contained. I also quite often come across machines with the lids removed to allow for hight due to customer or builder laying tiles . got a local engineering firm that cut me a piece of steel to fit …… and boy dont I let the customer know!!

vague is the word!!!!!!!! as I see it if it goes to land fill i.e. the dustmen its waste, if it goes to recycle i.e. the scrapman its not its just materials.
when I rang the local council for a definition guess what ? they didnt know but the man who was trying to be helpfull said “when it comes to trying to sort this lot out thank god Im retiring”

    Re: Disposal of old parts

scrap metal/plastic/scrap complete machines goes to the scrap metal man who we pay. shop waste packing etc goes into green council refuse bags which we pay for (over a pound each and rising!!!!!!!) card we take to the local shopping centre service depot they have a machine and DONT charge. fridges we wont touch and advise customers to contact local council who do (except oap’s) most customers will dispose of rubber hoses belts carbons etc but we take away big items tubs etc if they can be recycled as above. any doubts leave it out, rather no job than a fine.

is this machine the one with the pressure hose routed up and round the sd hose? Ive had one chafe through where it rubs on the tub / soap dis corner and only leak air when the weight of water strains the hose. hard to see when still in the machine. worth a double check

    Re: what to sell ?

w220 is one of our best sellers no real problems ….but…. did once have few12 (same as) with tub fitted with extra bolt point below soap dis as on high speed machines (next to the clip) this caused the tub to bang on the soap dis on spin. found two others in stock the same so cut off the redundant piece of plastic .

megawats card works well I use a couple of pieces of 6mm t&e cooker cable but for iron Ive got the biggest magnet youve ever seen out of an electric meter hold it on the inside of the tub and drag the penny or nail up to the top the flux works through the drum.
