    Re: Bosch VarioPerfect

Speed perfect reduces the agitation time of the program, but cannot be used with a full load. All new machines will agitate for a long time because they use less water. Speed perfect just gives you the option of shortening the program, but at the expense of the wash performance, hence the load size must be reduced. Wizard

FF is Fast Freeze. Somebody’s pressed it! It’s showing -34 cos it’s been running on fast freeze. Give it a chance and it’ll warm back up eventually aslong as you don’t have it on FF again. Wiz

Thanks Martin, I’ll have another look at the board. Didn’t see anything obvious when I looked before. Wiz

    Re: TDS Disc

I’ve been trying to get TDS 2008 to run on a new netbook. Managed to get the disc copied to a folder on the hard drive but unsure how to install. I remember having to put a “run” command in when I installed on the old laptop, but have lost the case the disc came in which had the instructions on. Anybody know what to do next ? Thanks, Wiz.

More than likely pcb, probably blown due to leak on flow diverter on heater. Wiz

John, yes it’s normal for the condenser valve to be open continuously. As Martin says check for a blocked condenser. If it’s not that then change the drain pump. I’ve had a couple that seem fine but overheat and pack up mid dry. Wiz

Re: sgs6312 gb bosch d/w leak under pressure on gutter seal

Blocked breather. Will either be attatched to the rear of the detergent dispenser (rigid clear pipe), or the right hand side of the main tank (flexi clear pipe) depending on the age of the machine. It allows air pressure to escape from the main tank. If it’s blocked the pressure finds the weakest point, ie the lower door seal. Wiz

Jazz, had one doing exactly this a while ago. Cleaned up the connections on the door switch and it worked fine. Haven’t been called back. Wiz

    Re: Bosch SGS45E02GB Blown PCB

Although Martin may be right it’s unusual for a bosch board to just blow. Most likely culprit is the water diverter motor on the heater. Check for any signs of water leaking into it from it’s seal. Have had a fair few do this. From your customer’s explanation it sounds likely. Don’t forget that the water will have probably had time to dry out. Just changing the board can be a costly mistake. Wiz
