Sounds more like an fsd to me, with that serial no its definitely a stoves built oven so you could possibly get them to repair it if you cant find anybody local….. they arent cheap though !!!

I was asked a couple of years ago to do gas work for them, I told them there was no way I would pay for the stock and secondly that I wouldnt get out of bed for that sort of rate.

I recalibrate the stats myself, the new ones are always miles out so its the only way to fix them really.

Stoves 50cm cookers were made by Beko for quite a while, looks like they have started making their own again now but beware as there are still plenty of the old Beko ones around the shops still, these cookers though are front flued so when you use the oven the front of the cooker gets very hot in fact uncomfortably hot if you are cooking on the hotplate too at the same time.

Belling and new world are mainly beko at 50cm even though they are owned by the same people as stoves, dont be tempted by a single cavity belling or new world either as these make beko look like rolls royce.

I am an ex Rangemaster engineer and have absolutely no problem recommending their range cookers, good build quality and good quality parts used, unlike many other ranges that I have worked on, 2 year parts and labour warranty as standard too.

If you want to start doing gas work now then yes, you would have to pay corgi now then pay capita by the end of march to continue your registration.

I currently am corgi registered under the company mfi, so I have a corgi registration card with my name on it but it also says that i am only covered whilst working for mfi.
I am thinking of becomeing self employed so would need my own corgi registration or capita?. If i pay a fee to corgi now which i think is around £70 they are sending me the paperwork to make it just my name then what happens in april when capita take over do I then have to pay them a fee?

    any advice please
martinEverybody has to pay Capita a registration fee by the end of March to continue their registration.

Have you maybe thought of fitting a 12v fan from a pc to remedy this problem ?

CookerfitA hob can still be fitted on a hose as long as the manufacturers handbook says so but the same rules apply as in the installation of a cooker… i.e. hanging in a “u” shape and not fouling on anything etc.

I would say the cooling fan is not working, if its the newer type it would be the fan itself if its the older type it will be the resistor gone.

    Vanman wrote:Hi Guys

I have a problem with my cooker 🙁 (indesit K3G21XG) its been going solid for a good 5 years now, But its starting to fail. Problem is the duel switch works ok on the grill part, but when using on oven, it goes out withing 5 seconds of releasing the switch. The part that’s gone defective is the Grill and Oven Combined Control valve, made by Sabaf. I would like to know where I can get hold of this part please, and also what I should expect to pay.

    Thanks in advance

VanmanFor a start you have identified the wrong part as being faulty, secondly its a gas appliance so unless you are competent its illegal for you to work on it.
