i agree with hotdog, the dryer thermsitors cause weird faults too.

if its working again id suspect bad connections tho.

    insulation fault on wash motor.

might have water in base you might be able to fix leak(if there is one) and dry out motor, but chances are itll need replaced.

I’m afraid it’s one of these faults it could be motor or module mibee even the wiring, you can check the motors for resistance of the 3 fields and tacho

A betting man would say module fault tho

Re: diplomat 8242 smeg type dishwasher

cant find your email so ill stick answer here.

With the door open, turn on the appliance and within three seconds push 4 times on the program selection
button – The test program has been selected if the SOAK and STRONG LED’s (1&5) are flashing
This LED combination represents the test program for the appliances that have a flow meter.
If the above indication is not shown on the appliance, switch the appliance off and try the sequence again
until the above LED’s are shown on display.
Now push on the program button once more to select the version ‘without flow meter’, check that the SOAK
LED goes out, and the display is indicating on-off-off-off-off.
Do not close the appliance door, to complete settings switch the appliance off.
Now switch the appliance ‘on’ and test on a SOAK program.

    Hotpoint CTD85A problem

Belt is on wrong, the pulley should go at back of belt, not enough tension to turn load the way u have it.

Good tip to fit pulley, loosen far away screw 1/2 way, fully remove one nearerst you.
Push pulley right back until it is past belt, fit belt around pulley and pull towards you until the clip on pulley locates at motor,
    Refit screw and tighten both.

could well be door lock, just check it doesnt just need the fault code reset tho, turn the dial to off, then to 6 oclock. hold in spin button and turn 1 click to 7 oclock, let go of spin button. turn back to off then on again and give it a go.
