    Re: Between the drums

    Thanks for the help Clive,
Whilst moving the inner drum to try and look, I seemed to have dislodged the metal strip and the drum spins freely by hand!!
My problem now is, do I think great that’s sorted! (hoping the strip will just lie at the bottom of outer drum for ever and ever) 🙄 or do I (knowing that he is going to pounce up when I least suspect it) try and get it out 8O.
I shall open a can of Spitfire, just one, to help me decide and to boost my perseverence.
    All the best everybody.
    Andy.

Re: Removing Cover on Samsung SR-S22…

    Hi Dave,

    Thanks for the quick reply!

The original engineer apparently replaced a pcb board but to my mind I would imagine that the problem is, as you say, with the auto-defrosting.

I was loathe to get an engineer out again if the problem was just going to repeat itself but if a permanent repair can be effected that is a different matter. Do you think it is fixable permanently?

    I’ll report back shortly.

check out shop@ for one… over on left.
remember to turn POWER OFF 1st

I can get to the back of the cooker easy enough if that would make life easier. Have you any idea which element it is. What do i expect across meter.

Re: Removing Cover on Samsung SR-S22…

I also have a Samsung F/F (SR2028FSM) that has stopped working on the fridge side. I am going to try the defrost trick to see if that helps. Thanks for the tip!

Samsung – who have the worst customer service ever – fixed the machine once but it stopped working about two months afterwards.

There is obviously some design flaw if this keeps happening. Does anyone know of a way of permanently avoiding the ice build-up without having to manually defrost every couple of months? Thanks.

    Re: AMDEA

if you plan to arrive around 0930 we will all be ushered into the same car park, which seems a good starting point. There is usually a booth where you can “pay” for your parking, try looking out for the ugly scots one around 0945, he’ll be with two shady looking geezers 8)
