The frost is pretty powdery, if you touch it, it flakes away really easily

    Re: Hoover inter@ct

Thank you to both Dave and Andrew for their swift response and my apologies if my last reply seemed a little on edge. Hopefully the extra technical information will provide the solution.

We are happy to complain to Hoover about the way they supply parts if it will help!

Re: Zanussi ZF 47/51FF Fridge Freezer

Hi thanks for your prompt reply

It doesnt have a fast freeze switch on. I can hear the frezer working but there is no noise at all from the fridge part, just worried the freezewr bit will go as that would be a nightmare with all the food I have in it

Re: Smeg oven turning itself off (as if on a timer)

Do you know how I can go about getting it fixed? (how to find someone who could do it and how much it might cost). We inherited the oven with the house so we don’t have any warranty from Smeg.

Re: DeLonghi Integrated Dishwasher D 12 S – COLD CYCLE

it’s 5 years old. Apparently same thing happened when it was 2 years old (no heating) and was repaired under guarantee. I wonder is this is a common fault with this model?

I am assuming D 12 S is the model number as it is only number which I see on inside front strip. Thanks in advance.

Re: Condenser driers – various questions!

Thanks for that – I’ll mention the site when I call them.

I took the back plate off the dryer out of interest and it appears that I was right about the element having blown. There’s a small box of wire coils (I assume they’re the heating elements – it looks like the fan blows through them and the power cable runs to them!) and half of the wires are broken. Also, the plastic housing they’re in are broken too. I guess the wires overheated and snapped.

Looks like a pretty simple job to replace. I’d be tempted to do it myself if I could find the part and trusted my wiring. Think I’ll leave it to the professionals though!

    Re: zannusi error code E90

I had an E90 error code (intermittent) and the engineer replaced the communications wires (5 blue wires with a plug on each end) apparently not an uncommon fault.

I had an E90 problem and the engineer replaced the wires and plugs which connect the main board (5 blue wires if I remember rightly)

Re: Condenser driers – various questions!

Cheers – definately worth getting the engineer out then since even the cheapest new condenser would be £180 upwards.

I couldn’t find an engineer on the Repairs thingy – so if you could help me I’d be grateful. I’m in Putney SW15.
