    Re: Ocean APM6825 from MFI

Well, my new pcb has finally arrived.
    The fault still remains.
The fridge EVAP appears to be permanently on. Although with the new pcb sometimes is very warm other times is only moderate heat coming from back wall in fridge. If left for 24hours fridge is tepid – colder than ambient but never really gets cold even when thermostat is set to max.
Have had to go back to disconnecting feed to evap.
Can hear the compressor and refridgerant working and switches in and out over a period of time.
The freezer drainage is clear and yet the freezer will only half freeze a tray of ice cubes. top of cubes freeze but center never goes solid.
Exchanger is clear, small amount of ice/condensate on feed pipes.
I can see three devices in the freezer compartment as previously mentioned in this thread. Any ideas as to what would be the next logical step ? Other than throwing the whole thing out as scrap !!!!!!

When I switch on after a shut down the compressor does not start – SKANKZ

Re: IKEA Whirlpool DWF 413W won’t drain

    Thanks DP 🙂

    Bit more info:
Drain hose looks ok – I can drain the machine by gravity via the drain hose at the two appropriate stages in the rinse cycle.
At the drain stages of the cycle, there is a faint hum from the the machine which stops if door is opened or power switched off at the wall – but nothing that sounds to me like a pump trying to run.

Can you give me an idea of how to check the operation of the pump??

    Cheers,

    Pete.

    Re: ADP8342 – Flashing lights

Just to say thanks for the information posted by Marti on the flashing lights problem. It was very easy to rectify and didn’t cost a thing ! The problem occurs because behind the black plate at the bottom front of the machine there is a trip switch which is activated when there is water in the bottom tray. Just a few sponges to mop up did the trick.

Re: Indesit Dishwashers and their Problems

I had the mysterious A02 error on my indesit DE73, it had all the engineers stumped. As it happens it had nothing to do with the heating element, it turned out that it was the thermostat on the bottom of the sump. For some reason it will not touch the sump & the only solution that I have found is to apply a rolled up wad of aluminium foil between the sump & thermostat. This runs happily for about 12 months before the foil needs replacing. Not ideal, but it works.

Don’t know if this helps you.

    Re: brandt

Well the other ball game is now in the open…..

I’ve known for ages, but I can also say that all the spares problems will go away as CDSL add 10,000 sq feet of space to stock Brandt spares.

And a word in your ears while there is not too many listening….there is even more to come and the next announcement will be at the amdea show end of April. There’s training available too, with at least one from each business must have training b4 work will be passed.

This year will see even more work coming and there is diveregence to come too. Can’t say everything yet, sorry.

Re: Hotpoint Mistral Plus (model 8596P) Fridge Freezer Temp

sounds to me like the compressor is weak, fridge temps should be around 5oC and freezer can be -25oC ish, if the compressor is running continusly and the temp is still bad in the fridge then it is either a partial block in the gas system, a weak compressor or low on gas.

i would sugest at this age it is weak compressor or partial blockage in the system.

call a refrigeration engineer which may be costly or buy a new one

Re: AEG OKO-LAVAMAT Model number 74620 fault code C2

    Thanks Martin. 😆

Just for information for anyone else looking for info on the same problem, I spoke direct with AEG and they informed me that the C2 code can point to four problems.

    1. The outlet hose is too high
    2. The outlet hose is twisted or blocked
    3. The drain pump is blocked
    4. The drain pump is broken

    Ours was problem 2.

    Thanks again, Age.
