THanks for advice.
Empty pipe attaches to side of sink waste pipe up at sink height. Is this reasonable?

KeymasterRe: Beko Cooker cold oven
Hi again, eventually got the engineer up to see cooker again, he never even needed to look at it said he would put in a report to Beko saying its excess condensation. I got in touch with Beko and apparently they have a part which they’re sending me then I phone the engineer and he comes out and fits it and that should solve the problem. Dunno why they don’t just put this part in anyway.

KeymasterRe: Repair a Hotpoint Aquarius DF41 with error 20
What is the safety stat?
It manages to get all the way through a pre-wash cycle with no heat. However, for a wash cycle at 40C, it displays “No Heat” all the way through and so after the final rinse after 30mins or so, it beeps with the error 20. But, When I open the door, the steam feels hotter than 40C.
My guess, based on this is that it’s probably the temp sensor, which you reckon is located in the door.
Is it simply a case of removing the screws holding the back panel onto the door to access the sensor then?Cheers, matey

KeymasterRe: Philips built in oven flashed and died
Thanks Brains. I’ve got a domestic appliance engineer coming tomorrow. I described the events to him and he suspects the “element”, so he’s spirited up a new one.

KeymasterRe: whirlpool ADP136 dishwasher
The model number is ADP 136/7 WH.
There is definately no 12 digit number.
The filling up issue is only when the machine is put on a wash cycle. If left alone ie off, it doesn’t fill up.
i was wondering if it might be the water level detector that is faulty?
and that’s a complete novice’s guess.admin
KeymasterRe: Bosch Dishwasher – trouble removing kickplate
Thanks for the responses. Thankfully I’ve found a dishwasher expert within driving distance, my original problem was a severe lack of engineers in the area!

KeymasterRe: Whirlpool W80 washing machine
No leaks, Pump and main motor running fine, motor on main switch seems to be making a noise. How easy is it to change the main switch if it is that?

KeymasterRe: SMEG Repairs
i sadly have a smeg a1.1. at less than 4 years old it has had the same recurring problem with thermocouple as mentioned below. so far replaced 5 times, latest a new version but according to smeg there was no problem with others. oven door hinges have been replaced twice. wiring bundle burnt out 2 yrs ago and has done same again yesterday and oven element has been replaced twice.
according to smeg there is no real problem!!! appointed engineers very expensive and slow
so far i have paid out nearly £600 in repairs and have now got to the point of buying a new cooker and dumping the smeg.
DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE

KeymasterRe: miele w736 washing mashine
Hi Chris, Greg,
I just went in and found the switch easily enough, though it seemed very clean, I removed it and rinsed it through. After lunch I tried it and same sound. I removed the lower panel as well and observed the machine as it worked.
The clicking starts each time the drum stops to change direction and some drainage occurs. Is it supposed to fill and rain every stop in direction? When the drum restarts and the drainage stops, the clicking stops. When it clicks the flexible drain tube does some significant flexing perfectly coincidental with each click. The clicking is definetely located on the right front of the door( which I know probably is elementary).

KeymasterRe: miele w736 washing mashine
Hi Gregsy, Penguin, Thank you so much for your contributions. the machine does not fill all the time. On/off just like in regular wash cycle only it’s difficult to tell if the fill/rinse is working as it should.
Penguin, I’m very encouraged by your contribution and will tackle the task within the hour. I look forward to the experience.
Will write with results!! Louis

KeymasterRe: Banging Bosch
Thank you all for your advice, there seems to be a common reason for this. I’ll let you know how I get on.
Have a good weekend,
