    Re: Diplomat Dishwashing machine

What is wrong with my dishwasher?
It is only 13/14 months old – just out of its 1 yr guarantee – and it has a load of water in the bottom, water won’t come into the machine to wash any longer and there is now a faint film of oil on the filter.
    Please help.

    Thanks.

    Re: Tabletop Dishwasher Recommendation?

interesting comments as my 15 month old zanussi has just given up the ghost, i’ve had 2 repair estimates both in the £120-130 price range and i’m now looking at the hinari myself as i’d hope it would last over 12 months and therefore its not going to work out more expensive than having the zanussi repaired (oh, its the timer thats gone by the way)

    Re: servis gem800

    Hi
The Gem 800 is quite an old machine, as far as I know has know out of balance circuitry, just an AR2 speed control module.

Most common fault is speed control module and start capacitor for inductive motor (app 16uF)

Both parts quite inexpensive and Im sure some of the senior engineers on here could oblige you.

In any case please make sure you are safe and pull the plug :zap:
    before you undertake any repairs.

    Greg 🙂

    Re: Smeg itegrated dishwasher

I have a SMEG DWi 612C integrated dishwasher about 18months old. It is showing illuminated leds on two of the wash settings and flashing on another. The select button beeps when pressed but apart from this no response from the dishwasher. Any Ideas? Is this a PCB problem? Does it come down to a particular component? Where do I get a reasonably priced replacement PCB. HHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP!

Found a faulty connection on the circuit board, re-soldered and now it works fine, 2 days after the problem appeared. You were exactly right. Thanks.

the service engineer came out this morning it said it was leaking from the soap dispenser unit. I have to wait for it to become available in stock and then they will replace it.

    Martin

Your help is much appreciated. I will give it a go when I get home tonight. Hopefully something has just broken on the inner bush, causing the outer knob to rotate without operating the timer.

    Many thanks again.

Re: Time Knob on Zanussi TC460 Tumble Dryer

    Martin.

    Many Thanks.

Sorry to be a pain with a clarification question. Does the whole assembly just pull straight out first before you separate the two parts in the way you describe ?. Not sure if I was describing the parts with the correct names. Looking on a spares site, I see an outer knob cover (the part I can see from the outside) and what is called “Timer Knob Inner Bush” which looks like a plastic cylinder with a number of protrusions at one end (to fix it to the outer handle on one end and the timer shaft on the other?).

    Many Thanks

Thanks for your help – had a horrible feeling that is what it meant

Back again – as hubby is an electronic engineer he wonders is it possible to buy the pcb and install it himself – if so any suggestions where and approx price. We are not too keen to spend a lot of money on this fridge as it is 5 years old although of course we had hoped it would last a lot longer.
