    Hi Again

Yep – the screws at the top of the oven do screw into the rear of the full width handle.

Problem is these screws are in between the front plate and the rear subframe that holds the inner glass. (grrrr….) and not accesible.

So – do I still need to remove the front glass or is there a 60cm screwdriver that does the job ?

The outer glass gets stuck in by two blobs of sealant at each corner, just be firm and wiggle it out from under the handle.

Re: £179 For A Zanussi Washer!

This certainly makes a mockery of these manufacturer spare part prices!!!!

How they can charge the high price they do and not be subject to some sort of government “rip off” watchdog is beyond me.

Re: Ignis AKL393 oven door glass repair

Thanks for your speedy reply and the useful hints on cleaning and sealing – much appreciated 🙂

I tried removing the 2 screws at the base of the door (hinge end) without any problems. The upper screws are more problematic as they appear to be inaccesible – ie inside the door frame between the front door plate and the rear sub frame – the inner glass prevents their easy removal.

I’m sure there’s an easy solution to this – but so far its succeeded in evading me 😥

Re: Hoover Performa 1100 – fill problems – easy repair?

Thanks Martin, sorry, not used to these chat forums and dont know how to find my way round yet. Hence I asked the question twice. Will try phoning Hoover, though I have gone to http://www.saynoto0870.com for a landline number to reduce my costs. Are you aware of this site? Its promoted by http://www.Moneysavingexpert.com too. Keep up the good work.

Re: Creda 37748E Tumble Dryer Drum not turning

Thanks – it took a little while – and quite awkward to hold the whole thing to gether while putting the drum back in but seemed to go fine and is now working OK. Just don’t forget to re-attach the sensor cable like I did or that part won’t work 😳 . Fortunately just another couple of minutes with the top off can fix that 😉

Re: Creda Concept Solarplus Grill problem

    Morning,

The grill regulator is not a repairable part on this. You will have to replace it, are both halfs of your element working ok?

Do you have a model number for this appliance..5 digits long ie 48309???

    Re: Advisory Council

    The Advisory Panel.

It is now time to bring this idea to fruition, as e-jobs is in its final stage of production.

The Panel will have an important role to play in the arbitration of any dispute between customer and a UKW member. Being realistic, we hope to do this and never run into a problem, however having this mechanism in place is what makes UKW unique. So UKW wants to promote good service by including extremely effective after sales and support for both parties.

We already have some nominees for this position, but as some time has passed since we aired this subject it’s only fair to open this debate to all subscribers, our number having grown since the last meeting. We would appreciate you all joining in this nomination event, Ken will publish a job description, along with a list of all subscribers, and you can, in complete privacy, nominate your candidate to admin@ukwhitegoods.com

As you will all have a chance to nominate, you will also be asked to endorse the final 3 candidates at the feb05 Sibson meeting, those of you who can’t attend will have the opportunity to endorse, on the site for 48 hours before the meeting, through this forum.
It is also intended to rotate the panel and we need to decide the duration of appointment (UKW prefers 12 months). Of course not all of you will want to serve and it has to be that Ken, Dave and myself can not hold this position due to our directorships of UKW. At this time there is no remuneration for this position, although that may change in the fullness of time.

To allow you all time to discuss this in open debate we ask that all nominations are received by 14th jan05, allowing us to proceed to the next step.

Remember that all recipients of e-jobs will have to adhere to the UKW charter and have signed it and must accept the Advisory Panels decisions.
