KeymasterRe: Bosch Maxx WFL2066 – No motor movement
Epilogue
Thanks for all your advice. It gave me to confidence to recheck my machine. The fault was a brush got stuck in its slider and so lost contact with the commutator. I fixed this when I stripped the motor last time, but when I reassembled the machine, I forgot to plug the motor back in – Doh! Now all up a running. The motors a bit rough, but that’s just till the brushes bed down and I’m probably going to treat the machine to a new set (£12.66 + VAT).
As for Autowash. I called them and explained that I wasn’t happy about the mis-diagnosis. The engineer tried to claim that to change the brushes that the motor would need to be taken apart (which it doesn’t) and that if you take the motor apart it will never work again (which is does). I am waiting to speak to the service manager tomorrow.

KeymasterRe: SMEG Double Oven SUK62MFX
K,
Thanks for the info. Just to confirm one thing. Is there is a separate safety stat for each oven as the main oven continues to function.
I will disconnect gas and electricity and have a look tonight

KeymasterRe: Diplomat ADP 8221
i have the same prob with the 8102/1 that came with the house – except the dishes are not clean it seems to stop just before the wash cycle.
there isn’t a reset code in the book – would anybody else out there know a way to fool the dishwasher into starting up again?admin
KeymasterRe: Blomberg 1501AAA Spin failure
Hi Penguin/all
Checked all 3 cold water solenoids & found to be 3.6K ohmns, 2 operate ok but the final 2 fills for the conditioner don’t operate off the 3rd solenoid. Checked all resistances from soldered joints on the timer board so getting connection. Dont wanna try measuring voltage to solenoids does it sound like the board is still goosed on one of the solenoid outputs.
If I fill the machine by hand on the 2 rinses the prog finishes correctly ie level switch is still working ok.
Any other thoughts?Roy

KeymasterRe: 2 problems: Zanussi washing machine, Phillips fridge
ok, i cleaned out the dispenser as u have suggested. now just waiting for the next washing load to see if this is the problem. it was pretty clogged up. and there were water scale marks near the dispenser… sounds like a simple fix if this really is the problem!
thanx for the advice.

martin thanks for your reply but brushes are ok,it will work on low speed ie normal wash but will not spin in fast speed,I have been told that there is possibly a triac gone on the speed control card, which would switch the speeds over

KeymasterRe: Sharp Combination microwave/convection oven
Hello,
I also need a Synchronous Motor ST-16 (showing code number MN73SSAQ RMOTDA227WREO and manufactured by the Jae Il Engineering Co. in China). This is for a Combi Microwave Oven, I forget the brand (my Dad has it at the moment) but I’m assuming its the same as the one in the subject line.
Could you possibly give me contact information for where I can obtain this item?
Thanks in advance,
Carl

Start with CDSL, they will require 3 skill sets but you should make yourself known to them…try phoning Gary Ainscough on 07739 497414 CDSL northern area manager.

Looking at other posts for NTC it certainly looks like I’ll be needing to give Whirlpool a ring. Thanks for your help!
