We have come across this recently, that also was on a servis appliance and in our case we rerouted the drain hose after checking for blockages.

    hi Martin,

just athought but as your customer is already a chemist…..is he bring his work home?

By that could he be washing test tubes/jugs in which there were chemicals etc…this would alter the electrical action and might cause accelerated electrolisis to occur. The colourant in the finish being the plating that is transfered. He might know if you run that one past him.

    Re: Dishwasher nightmare….Please help.

    hi,

Worst case senario is the fascia mounted user board at £102 ish. The element is bog standard and although they do fail @ £54.00 they aint cheap.

options as its not a diy this one.

http://www.flyingtoolbox.com and buy on line an insurance for 12 months which will cover this breakdown, offset the cost of quoted parts and a labour charge to gauge the cost of the insurance, also remember its 12 months cover.

08706008989 whirlpool themselves @ £72.50 inc vat for the labour plus parts.

or one of our members using the directories if any in your area.

The ability to dianose the electronics is the key to a successful repair here and without a sam module its a substitution game.

    regards

    kevin.

    Re: Dishwasher nightmare….Please help.

    Greetings……
OK, the 85 number is 84500015810

Also, it no longer has water in the bottom when finished……All that is happening now is that it bleeps a few mins (maybe 10 / 15 mins), and when it’s done, the dishes are still wet, and there is no heat in the dishwasher.

Many, many thanks for your help.

    Paul.

sounds as though you are ok, if the fast freeze achieved -18 then system is ok.

Re: hotpoint wma32 washer, drum lifters breaking

One of the drum lifters on my WMA62 has just broken so I ordered a replacement (plus a spare) online for £7.95 each.

The machine comes with a 5 years free parts warranty on the condition the parts are installed by a Hotpoint engineer (£34.99 for a home visit and a minimum £54.99 labour charge!). They will not supply the parts for user installation.

I won’t be buying Hotpoint again.

PS. anyone with specific questions can pm me it, I will endeavour to make sure they are asked.

And the best of it is they appear to have managed to get engineers private addresses and are writing to them.

Merloni used to pay £35 for gas calls two years ago
