Ring EMW and ask for the board configured for that model and that’s what you’ll receive

The water in the pan thing generally depends on the thickness and insulation of the pan.. I would just place an ammeter on the power cable and test the draw, then use the simmer stay to check drop/lift

Re: Cost of LG bearing replacement

First instruction would be not to carry on using it until the job is done if you think the bearings are gone, otherwise you will damage more than just the bearings and costs will spiral.

I must say though, that does not sound like bearings to me

GillM .. regarding your printer .. look-up 1999/44/EC and go to paragraph 17.. Take that to the shop.. They have an obligation to either repair it, replace it, or refund on it, even if the guarantee is now run out so long as you told them about it before it did.

Water coming out of the soap drawer could be simply that the tube has come off the pressure switch or the pressure switch is not operating

Yes, if a drip of water caused a short between the neutral and earth or the live and earth, or even live to neutral in the right place. I have also seen these triacs pop purely out of degradance. Have your electroics guy check for dampness at the boards power input plug.

Check the Triac number, usually (Z0607 MA) available on ebay or direct from us.

This should sort the problem providing the water has not hit the board and fried the Chips / SMDs

Just curious, has anyone reported fraud to the police over stopped cheques? Love to know the outcome of it. The prospect of a customer being charged with fraud, you need strong evidence for this such as proof of contracts.

How much was the cheque by the way?

Yes, I took a stopped cheque to Barclays Bank claiming a fraudulent act had been perpetrated as the issuer had stopped the cheque after receiving the goods…

The Bank were not interested and said “We cannot help you other than to try to contact the customer”.. so I went to the Police, who stated that it is not the sort of matter they get involved with and said: “It is a civil matter, you will need to take him to the small claims court”.

I got a little angry at all this running around and buck passing, so I looked-up the fraud offences relating to cheques, printed them off, and took them to the police station.

A week later I had the cash in my hand… The Police had tracked the guy to London and informed him to pay-up or be arrested.

    Cheque value = £394

    Re: Environcom

They spend nothing on the refurbishing of these machines so I am informed. If an appliance requires parts they will only use the parts from other machines (How true that is I don’t know).

A 5 year old Bosch in my shop got a £126 makeover yesterday and will be back on the market for £185 tomorrow; Huge difference.

With this sort of company, if there is no profit in a weee item, that weee item will not treated and that machine ends-up in the scrap. In my setup, any weee machine can infer a loss of upto £25.. That ofset by the profit of other weee products.
