That is my opinion too… I don’t have a clue what the police are playing at here… They say that the scrapyard could not get in touch with the DVLA because the DVLA site was down… I say .. Why did they not contact the police to check to see if the vehicle had been reported stolen.

    1. The scap dealer paid £350 ish for the veh to the crook
    2. The vehicle was reported missing on the day that it vanished … The vehicle was discovered missing within 14hrs of last being used Last used 6pm – Found missing 10am next day … Reported to police immediately.
    3. I put the word about and got a response 8 days later… I informed the police immediately of the name given to me.
    4. A lad who has done business with me before had heared the culprit bragging about stealing and scrapping the van.
    5. Nope… Contacted the police who in turn contact the DVLA
    6. Crime reference number received on the first day.

Re: ISE5 Broken down for weeks and no one seems to care?????

I have read this topic with interest… I am finding myself feeling for both parties here.

Unfortunately MO6 had a problem that required a part that was not available at that time in this country… We have all seen this from time to time … I have waited on a bosch part for over two months before now… This can happen to the best of companys no matter how hard they try to correct their indisposition or avoid circumstances that may arise to upset their customers.

Since learning of the problem, ISE have tried their best to rectify the problem for the lady, albeit with hiccups from a repairer that has lacked in consideration for his/her customer.

I am sure that ISE will learn from this experience and so will the independant repairer that caused the delay.

I do agree with the view that the lady should have been loaned a machine in the interim once the two week mark had past.. although this I feel should have been requested of ISE by the independant so therefore once again the repairer was failing in his/her position once more.

ISE and their staff cannot perform magic to the quality of Merlin, neither do they have crystal balls to watch over the independent trade. Unfortunately on this occasion the independant tradesman failed in the service of both ISE and the customer for whatever reason. I doubt it will happen again.

As much as it is very unfortunate for the customer in this instance, it does not seem to me that ISE has been unprofessional in this matter.

ISE is a relatively young company and I feel that the people at ISE are listening and watching. They are willing to go the extra mark to help their customers, but in some circumstances the extra mark needs to be pointed out by the repairer that is invited to attend the machine with the fault… Remember that ISE are not in the position of viewing the machine, but the independant repairer is. If you feel, as a repairer, that there is something that could be done to eliviate a customers situation if the customers situation is becoming abnormal for whatever reason, then you need to raise your concern with ISE before the situation becomes uncomfortable for the customer.

Your problem with the flashing of all lights is usually attributed to a failure of one of the capacitors on the main board…. Normally you will find that the top of the capacitor is domed.

I would not change the board unless it were the identical board and had then been reprogrammed by an able facitility or body.

Me neither… I have been through every thread since 2003 and can’t find anything relating to addicts…

Mind you… I have had to spend 23hrs a day on the UKW site to check.

After pressing the inner bearing all the way home, you press the seal into the bearing holders remaining space without any additional sealant and with the lip towards you and the hollow of the seal toward the bearing.

Use a tester to test the socket polarity.

Disconnect the pcb from the supressor too..

If it still trips then as it has to be the cable assy.

What i mean is for at the very least the Chairman only being involved in the WTA, which i realise is dificult due to funding, but in the future the WTA could be self funding through subscriptions and the top job would be paid from that, i know unrealistic at the moment.

DrDill, Can I ask why you think this would be necessary?

Since there are many council members and all have a vote, the fact of any conflicts is wiped out. The only advantage that any person would gain from the conflict is being able to add a subject to the agenda and one vote.

Advising of a steering group is as discribed, advising, putting ideas forward and giving reasons why certain avenues may gather a negative response. A person giving advice can no more sway a comittee by any more than one vote than you or I could. Advice is given and then voted on by the whole comittee, and this eliminates any conflict.

That faint humming sound could be the inlet valves… Check that you did not turn the water off at the mains.
