Replace both o rings. Easy enough, unscrew from inside tub, pull towards you and lift out

I had exactly that with an elderly customer. I turn up she says it not working properly so I close door switch on and bang. Frightened the life out of both of us. Glad it happened whilst I was there, new lock and as you say a bit of soldering and bobs you’re aunty

Yep good machines. Did a spider on a 95360 a month ago. 26 yrs she’s had it and although a little rust on cabinet it’s perfect

Lino is the worst thing for machines getting stuck IMO. Put a piece of hardboard down first or as you say cut the link back

Sounds like an insulation fault on the heater. Need to megger it, it you don’t have the proper test equipment it would pay to get an engineer to look at it

Check the latch spring is seated properly. May need either the spring or the door panel
