ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
Just been called to a very plush flat with a students staying in it. She said the fault was her hob not staying on, I asked her to show me and she set it to simmer at no 4 and she said there it keeps going off and on. I explained that’s exactly what’s its supposed to do. She said I don’t want that I want the light on full. So I just said stick it on 9 then.
But that’s not how I want it to work she said, unbelievable waste of time

ParticipantRe: Hoover HNF7148 – HELP!
I would also do an insulation test on the pump and check for any signs of leakage around it

ParticipantRe: Beko DE2542FW tripping mains
You need to do an insulation test on the element

Looks like the armature has been scraping the brush holder.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AWOE 9558 problem – help!
Check the obvious first to eliminate a faulty cable. Check power at mains suppressor
Then it’s a matter of tracing the power through to the board.

The customers who knock at your front door on a Sunday morning at 10am because they get the answer phone saying that we are closed until Monday morning.
Nearly as bad as the ones that phone up at 7:30 am on a Sunday with the words: ‘Sorry to bother you on a Sunday, I hope it’s not too early?’One day, just one day, I might actually say what I really want to instead of ‘no it’s fine’…
Or 11.00 at night the idiots

Thanks for the tip mate

ParticipantRe: Circuit board on the Hotpoint WF440
Not too sure as I’m fairly new to the forum. Someone will answer that but make sure the problem is definitely the board. Lots of faults can be mistaken for module faults

2 one behind the console panel and one at the back. These normally need programming as well

ParticipantRe: Diplomat Select 920
There normally a wire support towards the front of the element that just sits on a ridge
