    Re: JTM again!

It isn’t looking cheerful for Jtm and there are rumours but I am not so sure what to think for now.

Re: Hacked Off About Internet Pricing?

Drdill you come across very badly and seen as if you are just mouthing off.

If you mouthed off like this and insulted the Deppers on the RC forum you would soon get kicked into touch. Mind you do post some of the same sort of rubbish on there too slagging them off at times.

But for all your bluster you are still working for them.

Now can this topic get back on track please as it is interesting.

Yes we too only order what we have to order from them.

It is really very simple a conversation that I managed to avoid when I got this call although I wish I had said it out loud but then they’d know who I was and sack me.

You spanked us up on labour rates.

You spank us up on part prices.

Then you want us to buy more from you as well.

    Do the math connect!!!

You know I like others in the repair side of the business have been sat watching this and like a number of them probably thinking, you know what if this was most of the normal big brands these people would have gotten nowhere and could not even have had this conversation.

Usually most manufacturers don’t give a stuff. At least Ise seem to be doing all that they can.

I should direct a customer of nine here who has been waiting on parts for her not working fridge since November last year from a certain Korean maker. Things like this do happen and theres really not much anyone can do beyond apologise and try to sort the problem as fast as they can.

But I’ve done a couple of jobs for Ise and never had a problem and have not seen very many complaints about parts either.

I have to say though with six kids and being on a farm that machine must be taking a pounding.

Do Connect even want to be doing trade sales anymore as they appear to be more interested in retail sales now?

    Hi,

We have been asking for this for a long time as we in the trade feel ripped off on spares pricing and lack of technical information for many brands. This has the effect of restricting who you, the public not in the trade, can choose to repair your appliances and when you do get a repair the price you have to pay for it. So the public get ripped off as well and you do not have fair competition in the after sales market.

I suspect though that Ken had more to do with making this happen than publishing an article as he is very pro consumer but fair with it.

The only way to get a duvet that size clean is to take it to a proper laundrette. No domestic machine will do it properly regardless of the marketing hype you see.

The so called 11kg machines are not really that anyway as most manufacturers cheat the numbers try to get the drum capacity in litres as that is more accurate but some still cheat. The Koreans just lie.

Almost all Miele repairs is a three step and simple process.

    Step 1

    Get a bank loan

    Step 2

    Phone Miele

    Step 3

Pay Miele the money you have that is demanded

    Very easy system to follow.

And it is getting worse not better with the new machines that you cannot reset at all for almost anything you just have to call them and pay whatever they demand.

A friend of mine that left Miele recently told me how much they make from service and if you knew you would be astounded. Miele customers get ripped off on aftercare.

But you can buy the stuff to do it for £20,000 if you like!

Information is now sparse and it seems that repaircare are just burying their heads in the sand an hoping that all the ill feelings go away.

Meanwhile we are getting class leading rates from another manufacturer by working directly for them. Well done Ken and John your efforts on this are much appreciated as is the more than 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} above the rates here.

It dies make me wonder how much some manufacturers are paying for service and getting a mediocre service for it though and when others will smell the coffee.

Never mind there will always be those that want to work for a large retailer for next to nothing and get nothing but grief for doing so.

ISEs delivery charge is the same to any mainland postcode so far as I am aware. Unless there has been some change in policy that the dealers are unaware of.

Also although the nearest LISTED dealer may be that far away it does not follow that the closest repairer is as a lot of repair only agents are not listed on the ISE website as they do not sell the machines.

Sorry but I felt the need to correct the glaring errors in your post as I am a repairer but do not sell the machines just as we do not sell any machines, my company is service only. But more than happy to support ISE in any service required.

I have not said anything here yet but I will now.

If you cannot see what the WTA is trying to do for you I would gave to conclude that you are either blind or just plain stupid. They are championing you guys, the repairers. If you choose to be blind to that you deserve all you get or don’t and its more likely don’t.

For £70 a year it is stupid not to be involved.

They may well not solve it all but at least the are trying to help us.

I have heard from several sources the repaircare is up for sale today.

Big meeting tomorrow in Newcastle for staff.

I have a note outlying several suitors to buy it but I will hold my peace for now.

Might change again to blue and yellow reading the articles on the site today.

Still it is more competition for repaircare and 0800.

Somehow I think that comet or Tesco would steamroller both and not notice the bump.

It may well also be a worry to repaircare and 0800 as both also rely on this sort of work.

Just had the email mentioned by Jonah.

What was the point of that as it tells us absolutely nothing we didn’t know yesterday.
