The selectors on these are prone to this type of erratic behavior. Before you change it, spray it liberally with switch cleaner with the nozzle fitted. Unplug the small edge connector and get the nozzle in there. Then move the selector knob round and round while you are spraying; wait a couple of minutes for the solvent to evaporate, then reconnect and try it.

Also the push button pads on the control panel break on their frame for a pastime. Look carefully at the buttons; they should all be the same height. If they are not, then remove the PCB assembly from the back of the control panel and take the PCB out of the button frame. The start button pivots will be snapped and possibly the tactile switch on the PCB may be displaced depending on the brutality of the customer. PCB and button frame are available separately.

    Re: Bosch WVD24520GB/05 dead.

Thanks Tim for the pointer – brushes were worn down to nothing. Fitted new and tried it again – still nothing apart from lines on the display. I tried resetting it using the F21 fault reset technique but no luck.
Anyone know how to reset this range of Bosch PCB’s….or is the board goosed as well?

    Any help greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Has anyone got an exploded view of this machine? Is the bearing one side or both?

    Help please !!!

Re: hoover hdb854dn/1-80 washer dryer interlock problem

Take the lock out and activate it by hand. If the machine then works, the problem is with the door catch.

    Re: Siemens dishwasher leaks.

Thanks Dave; found the sump on Connect – cheers! It has been mentioned on this forum before about a ‘repair kit’ for this problem (with modified parts, I guess…) so hopefully the sump is the updated version. Frankly, if there weren’t so many of these machines out there I would just refuse to get involved. These new BSH machines are just garbage – and that is such a shame.

    Thanks for the pointer!!

Anyone know about LG belt drive motors? Do they fail? Test OK by meter….. 😕
SE fault shows as module as well…..any help please!!

Re: AEG Dishwasher only heats water on quick wash

It could be the heater relay on the PCB breaking down under prolonged use – the quick wash uses that relay only for a short time. The other cycles (being much hotter) may not heat enough but the cycle will progress through. Look for weak cracked solder joints around the relay pins on these modules. Heaters tend to work or not as a rule of thumb.

No.. that’s the thing – nothing done at all to the fill side. Just took the hose off as I couldn’t hear it filling and refitted it ; then E17. Turned down the pressure and it seemed to work OK. I am thinking somehow the inlet valve is at fault….

    Weird….. 😯

Cheers Martin; Happy Christmas to you and yours!

    Re: bosch wae24466/gb03 error 21?

Have you done the reset? F63 is PCB fault but can also be cleared by resetting the PCB as above. If you try this again (X 20) and F63 still shows, module is goosed. (technical term 😉 )
Both faults are responses to a power cut or surge experienced by the board but from different sources.

Re: Later type Bosch/ Neff/ Siemens dishwashers

I’ve had this problem several times. The common factor on all the Bosch machines I’ve seen is they only leaked if the intensive cycle is selected and the water appears right at the end of the hot last rinse. I tried all the other cycles and none leaked at all. Just the intensive cycle and just at the end. And always from the back of the sump on the left side looking from the front above the diverter valve.
Fitted a new tub to sump seal in all cases and all OK. As others have said, it’s a known issue.

    HTH,

    Steve.
