    Re: bosch wae24466/gb03 error 21?

If that’s an F21 fault, it’ll be brushes. But after fitting the brushes, the computer has to be reset.

    To reset:-

Unplug the motor; plug the machine in to the mains. Turn the dial to the “six o’clock” position (usually spin only). Hold down the “spin speed” selection button for two seconds and then turn the dial one click clockwise. Release button and turn the dial to “Off” position.
Turn the dial back on and the display shows as normal.

Note: This can take you 20+ attempts; so don’t lose heart, it’ll work eventually. Stupid and pointless attempt by BSH to foil repairs by external engineers. Don’t forget to plug the motor back in before you select and initialise the cycle, or it may revert to F21 again…….

The pressure switch sits on top of the water receiver between the motor and the condenser. Its sole purpose is to switch on the “tank full” lamp and shut down the machine. The timer will run but nothing else will work. There is no float fitted. To get to the pressure switch and its chamber, it’s a drum out strip down…. OR try this:-

Remove the plastic water tank, lean the machine back against a wall and take off the valve at the back of the tank compartment (under the machine; 2 screws). Water will come out so be prepared. With a zip tie, rod out the chamber and squirt some water into the open end of the chamber to flush out the debris. Clean the valve (usually blocked with fluff) and the opposite mating valve on the back of the plastic tank. Reassemble and all should be OK.

    Re: ISE 5/2 motor.

Went and tightened the loom connections and the machine spun up to high revs. Had an unsettling screaming from the motor when on high speed….. 😕
I’ve changed a couple of motors on these and they were difficult – but both done with the machine leant over sideways onto a plastic racking box.
    Hoping it’s not PCB……………. 😥

    Re: News

What would be helpful would be a list of compatable spares that can be fitted to the remaining ISE’s out there. Pumps are no problem but bearings and seal sizes; door gaskets and catches; even the motors and PCB’s converted back to Asko or Amica part numbers would at least give the repairers a chance to sink or swim even if it is at their own cost. The technical documentation shows data that applies to several different machines – knowing exactly what the ISE in question was before it was badged allows alternative part searching. ISE visited the factories to spec and touch base with the manufacturers so this shouldn’t be impossible.
If I have to do free stuff now and again then so be it; my customer base is very important to me.
But at least this parts list would give us a chance to keep our customers afloat at our own individual discretion.

Also check the new drier element for earth leaks – not unknown for the new to be as bad as the old!!

Re: Prima LPR721 Washer Dryer not Spinning

If the timer gets to spin, the water has drained fully and the drum spins up and stops that is normal. The drum will spin up 3 times and stop; then finally it levels out at balance speed ready to spin – then it should ramp up to spin OK.

If it spins up and stops 3 times and then the timer aborts to ‘End’; then the timer unit is faulty. EMW do replacement VS80 and 81 units. You will need the timer numbers off the side label and the rear of the top circuit board to order. Also check the tacho on the rear of the motor just in case the mag has unscrewed and pushed the coil off. And of course, the brushes.

For reference, a Prima LPR721 is a Zanussi in fancy dress, so all parts are basic Zanussi. No great issues there.

Husband walks into the kitchen with his fishing gear on. “Are you coming then?” he says to his wife. “Ah…no..not today” she says.
“But you promised me faithfully you would come fishing this time or if not you would give me a**l sex or a b**wj*b”. “Oh yes….damn it… oh all right” she says and kneels down to get his piece out and then starts to give him a BJ.
After a few seconds she says, “Yuck, that’s disgusting….your piece tastes like sh1t!! “Yeah,” he says “The dog didn’t want to go either”.

    Re: Hotpoint WDL540G issues.

Changed the drier thermistor and…….. IT WORKED!!

Thanks very much for all the help; this is the stuff you just can’t know and where some help is invaluable. The NTC was in fact o/c so the reading I got the other day must have been me just randomly touching the meter probes together.

    Cheers,

    Steve.

    Re: Hotpoint WDL540G issues.

That’s interesting….. I checked the drier NTC with the meter, but the reading kept changing and I put it down to me being shaky with the test leads as the NTC is in a very difficult spot facing downwards. It was showing a 19meg reading and then down then up again.

No I haven’t got the manual for it, Jim, so if you have, a copy would be most welcome. 😉 I think you have my email address; if not PM me and I’ll send it.

    Thanks again!
