    Re: Bosch Exxcel 0.01 fault

If the brushes were worn to the wire then the armature may have sustained some damage. Megger the motor, often they fail insulation test. Hopefully the motor is OK, then it is possible that if the machine was spun empty or the new brushes were sparking, the spin cancel can happen. If the brushes are sparking get the customer to use it several times to bed them in. Usually they will settle down and the machine will work as normal.

Don’t forget the usual fault with these machines – drier heater to earth. This will cause ‘dead’ faults; the common giveaway is the door locks and then unlocks again then ‘End’ in the display or totally dead. Unplug the drier heater and try again. 😉

Go and do the City and Guilds 2377-22 course at college first, it’s only a 2 day course and it’s quite easy. Not only does it show you how to use the PAT tester and correctly record the results, you will get the C and G qualification certificate as well. Local authorities love to see these pieces of paper you know…………..

Check pressure switch (terminals burn regularly but show no external signs)and pump / filter – if not then a PCB programmed from EMW is your best bet.

    Re: Zwd 1472s washer dryer.

Blocked condenser causes this. The water comes in from the condenser valve and starts to backfill the condenser unit as it cannot drain fast enough past the blockage. Analogic pressure switch senses water where there shouldn’t be any at that time in the cycle and throws an E20 error.
Strip out and clean condenser and hose into the tub.

    Hope that helps,

Cheers, Mark – and I have just found another thread on the H95 code. I’ll try the door switches as suggested in that thread but otherwise it looks like you are right. Oooer….expensive fix…..!! BTW, how long are Gaggenau appliances guaranteed for?

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Re: Bosch Microwave Fault Code H95

The one I have does just this!!! I’ll check the door switches and if they’re OK, then it would be the invertercard or mag as Eastlmark has suggested in my other thread on this.

    Cheers,

Can be an earth leak on the armature, excess carbon on the armature or timer fault. EMW do these timers for a reasonable price.

Have you checked the motor brushes?
The E34 code is a pressure switch fault. It could be a hole in the hose, pressure bottle blockage moving about, filter or earth leak on heater. The earth leak need only be a few mA and won’t be enough to throw the trip but the PCB (E2000 board) is very sensitive to this. A simple test is to remove the connectors from the heater and plug them on a spare solenoid valve. This gives a circuit and a little resistance. The PCB will run if the heater is the fault. It will activate the valve in the heater phase. Use the diagnostics routine to establish this.

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

Thanks for the replies – but as always when I put a lot of time into researching something, they decide to scrap it.
    Cheers anyway…..!!

Is the motor running? If it is filling and the detergent is released, then the only thing missing is the wash motor.

Re: Sealed tub on Zanussi ZWD16581W?

I had one of these washer driers before Christmas. It was in fact a welded unit and TDS showed a split tub assembly. Only found the welded unit on Connections. It worked out cheaper to buy all the parts for the split tub than to buy a welded replacement, which is ridiculous. Still over £220 worth of parts, mind you. But hey, Lux will sell you a new’un, no probs.
    Sign of the times……

Thanks Martin – won’t have to worry now, she’s off to buy a Beko in the sales. Priceless!!
