Re: Bosch WVD24520GB/01 washer drier ‘1 minute left’ fault.

Thanks Martin, but the machine doesn’t actually heat at all. Heater continuity and insulation are both fine and compare with a new one. Fills and drains perfectly. No supply to the heater is the issue.
I got all the part numbers off BSH and only looked on Connections for a photo, as you can’t tell from exploded views. What I need to know is which module unit supplies the heater?

    Cheers,

    Steve.

    Re: Bosch SGS43A22UK/01 dishwasher.

    Thanks Clive.
The issue here is the fact that the lip the seal sits on has dropped in the centre and cannot be straightened due to it being a plastic moulding. I agree the seal is little more than a splash seal so I think I’ll have to try the float and reed switch to see if that lowers the water level. As things stand ATM the seal is the only thing stopping it flooding!

    Cheers,

    Steve.

Give this a try….they give tech info to trade over the phone. Very helpful company and the parts are very reasonable as well. They keep Elica spares back to the seventies!! Website:- http://www.elica.co.uk. Look at the contacts page.

    Hope that helps!

But on the 404 error list click on the “Home” page and up comes the ISE website front page. That could be ‘adjusted’……. 😉

Look PNC 923523608 up on TDS OFFLINE 2008 rev 2 disc…..
There are 14 bulletins and one (faulty temperature sensor)
explains the differences between the kits.

Re: 31er14mht regulator replaced by 41er102c1p

The link wire supplied with the regulator fits between P1 (line) and 4 to provide a supply at 4. The pilot is connected to P2 as the switch for the lamp is between 4 and P2.

    Re: hotpoint wd440 error f4

Remove the PCB and tighten all the edge connectors. Also get a new pressure switch – they burn internally for a passtime and at around £6 it’s a cheap fix. I’ve fitted quite a few of them…. 😉

    Re: AW23 Counterweight Bolts

Zanussi Nexus and later (plastic tubs) motor mount bolts fit – just put a couple of washers under the head to match the length of the weight bolt. (they are slightly longer). The washers have to be able to fit easily into the concrete weight sockets; ie:- same washer size as the originals.
Carry a few now as replacements – they are almost twice as thick with an 8mm head……. 😉
    No recalls so far……….8)

Thanks guys – I’ll get a PCB then. All the wires checked and continuity tested Jim…..all OK hence the question. Fortunately the PCB is very cheap!! 😀

Re: WTA Council Meeting January 2011

Sorry I haven’t been active on the forums lately – little things like serious lack of available funds ATM….embarrasing to have to type it….but true. After being seriously shafted by 2 companies going under within weeks of each other I am recovering my losses……but slowly. I am always busy but there are more and more people owing me… I know there is little I can do but work my ass off to recoup what we have lost. We are OK; it’ll be fine; but we just have to be careful for a while.
Being a sole trader that backs up 3 other local engineers but when the chips are down, doesn’t appear to have the benefit of a return gesture, the whole situation has really knocked me sideways. Financially and morally. But hey, after the last few years that we’ve had as a family, it’s got to get better!!
In a previous post Ade suggested the inactive council members should step down. He is actually right, when you peel away the sentiment… I have felt for some time that my contribution to the WTA was less than I, personally wanted it to be. The Qualtex spares deal result was good, but I haven’t seen anything change on that front. We lost our local spares counter (South West) so first hand information from there has ceased.
Also, WTA membership enquiries were being regularly sent to my email, but that stopped some time ago. All I was able to do was to collate and forward new member details to Kilmarnock, because, in the absence of any WTA paperwork to send out, the whole operation would have to be duplicated at Killy anyway. There seemed little point in that TBH.

I applaud what you guys have achieved with the OFT: against all the odds (with dissenters like Dr Dill) the wheels of the WTA are turning and gaining momentum…. 😀
I need to get back on track and so I propose that my seat on the TA be put up for re – election at the Feb meeting. It would be appreciated if the reason was not made public as I do have a modicum of pride left..
I like to be able to help; I love challenges….but extra expenses are not really on the radar ATM. I have thought long and hard about this; and yes, it’ll probably demean me in the eyes of some, but I’ll just have to accept that. I fully support the WTA and will help where I can; but in the interim I have to focus on matters close to home and business.

    Re: Holding Stock

I hold stock of the ISE 10 1607 only ATM – all my AW’s and 1606’s have gone. I have always held stock; usually 2 of each type in the past.
