It’s a Siltal – try looking it up as a Baumatic BHWD12 on Connect. Loads of parts shown and most in stock. It’s crazy that Connect don’t cross-reference the spares for these machines as many people would probably just give up and therefore scrap stuff unnecessarily. 😥
I’ve been told that Masterpart are good for Siltal bits…….:wink:Hope that helps,
Steve.

Hi, Dave!
Remember us talking about the soap hose contacting the tub rim on the ISE variant and how to remedy it? The Amica is probably doing the same.
Go on the ISE forum and read the “AW23 soap hose” thread; it may help.Cheers,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Zanusie FL884 creasing washing
Have you disconnected the hoses or had any plumbing done? The most common cause of creasing is the machine rinsing in hot water. The hot pipe to the cold valve and the cold pipe to the hot valve…..easy mistake to make. Or the red and blue taps are reversed and it’s been reconnected incorrectly.
If you haven’t done any of the above, does the washing feel hot at the end of the wash? If it does then it is remotely possible that the heater switch in the timer has stuck (only ever seen one Zanussi do that in 27 years!) or the heater element has an electrical earth leak. (usually trips the RCD in the consumer unit).
The FL884 is an excellent machine and well worth saving if it is in good condition. Zanussi machines today don’t even come close to the reliability of these oldies. Get it repaired….don’t scrap it!!Hope that helps,
A.

ParticipantRe: Aeg dishwasher leaking
It will be the water matrix overfilling. The large hose going from the matrix to the sump gets blocked and will backfill and leak through the small overflow hose. (the clear plastic hose that goes into the base tray).
Drain and sponge out the sump then take the left side panel off. Take off the large hose and rod it through with a zip tie or a piece of scrap mains flex. The hose goes to the sump so be sure the item you are using to clear it will reach right through. Then try to dislodge as much crud as possible from the matrix with a long thin zip tie; noting that the nozzle the large pipe fits on is divided in half: in effect it is 2 pipes in one. Refit the hose and test with the small overfill hose outside the tray so you can look for seepage before you reassemble the machine. 😉
If this fails, then a new matrix is the only answer. 1118463106 is the part number @ £23-ish + VAT from Connect.HTH,
Steve.

These cut outs are very fallable; although they usually go O/C and the oven will shut down. Part number 8996619267611 is the “Limitor” thermal switch you need.

Did you check the drier heater with a megger? The drier will work but the short to earth will cause the machine to abort shortly after starting a wash cycle. Usual code displayed is ED4…..but I’ll look up EOD when I get back in! Drier heater is the No.1 suspect!

ParticipantRe: Memership ID number…
George (Allsorts) has enquired about his membership number. Problem being – he’s not on the UKW list; so I will need to allocate a new number.
After the WTA meeting and the large number of applications, is the old list still relevant? If so, where are we in the numbering sequence? My list shows up to UKW091. 😕

Harry Redknapp’s Hotpoint WM22 – probably scrapped by now. Made me a coffee and was ‘shocked’ when I said I didn’t follow football. He asked why, (as if I’m the only person he had ever met that didn’t bother with football) so I said that football at school for me was an excuse to get your shins kicked in on a cold day. 😆 Very down to earth guy though.
Rebecca Storm (Evita) prima donna if ever there was; Andy Summers (Police guitarist) only words said, “Oh yeah; through there”. 😕 Same scowl on his face as in all the Police videos. I have never walked down a hall before lined both sides with gold and platinum discs – craning my neck to read the labels while walking.
Lord and Lady Grylls (he was in the House of Lords until his death about 6 years ago) she is the mother of Bear Grylls the survival guru. On 2 occasions Bear was home when I called at their country house / estate and I have to say he makes good tea. His mother is plum- in- the- mouth English and the archetypal aristocrat; talks loud and rarely listens. She gave me a signed copy of his book before it had hit the shops! She is one of my most entertaining customers. “Can you repair my fridge, Mr Steve…..ah yes, it’s in my Kensington flat…………when do you think you will be passing?” :rolls:
And Max Bygraves. Exactly the same in the flesh as he was on TV. I was sent to repair a Bendix 7142 in my early days (23 years ago) and was met at the door by an ordinary bloke. Didn’t look at my paperwork, just went in and fixed the machine (filter blocked) only then did I look at my jobsheet.
” OK, should I make the bill out to Mr Bygraves?” Then without thinking, I said, “So you’re no relation to Max” in an immitation Max Bygraves voice and doing his signature hand movements.
To which he replied, “Yes, I’m his brother in law”. 😳 😳 I replied, “Have you got a shovel please?….I need to dig myself a hole to jump in”. He laughed and said that Max would be pleased that someone of my generation knew who he was and how it proved he was still relevant. When I met him in person he was very friendly. My auntie, a die hard Max fan still has a photocopy of that cheque signature to this day….. :rolls:

ParticipantRe: zanussi keep pauseing
An earth leak on the drier element will cause odd faults like this – usually program abort issues early in the cycle.
Disconnect the drier element and try it again. If the fault clears, change the drier element. This fault tends to be more prevalent on machines where the drier is little used. :rolls:Hope that helps,
Steve.

subs wrote:Need to fit a new motor to this machine. It has a 7 pin AC Motor Type 9041158/10. From what i can gather looking on Connect/Masterpart the replacement for this is an FHP motor with a plug connector kit. Is this correct?
SubsYes it is……but if it’s a GEC or Brook Crompton type motor why not use a Qualtex ARM20 armature and C00197976 brushes and rebuild the original? The only problem will be if the field coil is shorting or down to earth. If the field TOC is O/C, then TOC17 also from Qualtex will fit.
Hope that helps,
Steve.
