Wiring Leaflet totally diffrent to the Element supplied inc Make

First of all, £66 is far too expensive. The Connect ELE7052 is £29.85 + VAT supplied in a plain box: but being a Ceramspeed unit it should be the same unit as the original. The wiring configuration on the one I fitted was a straight swap. 😉 There is a wiring diagram in the box; but it is quicker and easier to look and compare the terminal set up on both plates side by side. They are probably the same – as I found.

The easy way to see how these ‘plates are wired is to carefully (very carefully!!) lift and turn the mica limiter cover round on its rivet to expose the switches. Compare the switching – horizontal or vertical. All will become clear. 😉
Failing that, the hotplate supply from the regulator should fit to the terminal opposite (ie: switched to) the limiter to plate element hard link. The other 2 terminals on the limiter (usually above the aforementioned ones) are the “hob hot” warning lamp switch. The neutral wire is the tag on the side of the plate where the element coils finish.
Connect part number ELE7052 (£29.85 + VAT) is a “Ceramspeed” unit so IIRC should be a straight swap. I fitted one of these to a 48339 just before Christmas and it went in with no effort. The spec for the ELE7052 is 1800w and 200mm diameter.

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

Have you pulled the hose off the pressure switches and tried again? E20 can be blocked pressure system as the analogic pressure switches are really sensitive….
Other than a blockage or a faulty analogic pressure switch, then it would leave the PCB. But before you condemn the PCB, remove and refit the edge connectors first to alleviate the possibility of oxidised contacts. 😉

£99 for a Hotpoint washer repair in the BH area (Bournemouth). 😯 At those prices it’s better to call the manufacturers’ own service!!

EMW do the EWM1000 module unit. The interlock will blow the board components as well as the tracks. Like you, I prefer to resolder PCB joints if possible, but I have had little success with this type of board.

FE is an overfill fault. If the pressure bottle is clear and the pressure switch hose isn’t holed, then it’s got to be the PCB.

    That’s showing a hose clip….that’s a number 47 when I need a number 61…..in black bean sauce…… 😆
Does it show the hose as a separate part to the motor? I’ve tried all sorts of makes and model numbers on Connect – showing every part except this hose. 👿 Unbelievable!!
I’d really appreciate it if you can help with this….. 🙂

    Thanks,

Grrrr……the front bearing is stuck to the drum shaft – not enough room to get a puller on it without damaging the tub.
Well, looks like another scrapper…. 🙁

    Thanks for the help, guys!!
