These heaters usually have a thermal fuse set in the mica side panels. They are colour coded, but temperature is normally written on the side. Easily replaced. 😉

Thanks for the part numbers, Jim. 😀
I have used a washer to pull the drum shaft through the pulley; but the boss is loose in the pulley. Not much, but enough to undo the bolt every 5 or so washes.

    Thanks again guys!!

This can also be done with an ISE 2 as well. The first one I sold was integrated by the customer. Looked really good. The only thing that suffers using this method of integration on any machine is access to the soap drawer. The drawer is not long enough to pull out for adding detergent and softener if the machine is pushed well back in the cabinet.
Worth considering – or making the point at least gives you chance to think of your best sales talk. 😉

    Re: belling motor

If it’s a modern Belling, chances are it’s the Creda fan motor with the circular metal face plate that will fit. MTR8001 from Connect. About £8 + VAT. And yes, the 90XOU would be about 20+ years old now; stainless steel polished frame with rounded corners. Side opening door with the spring clip catch. Nice machine, but old. 😉

    Re: belling motor

Is that a XOU90? Connections finds 90FP – but it adds “XOU” in front. If that’s right, 5045174088664 is the part number @ £15.38 + VAT no stock.

    Re: CALGON TV Adverts

The average washing machine today will have PCB computer, motor, drum bearing and pump failure LONG before the machine has had a chance to scale up. Therefore the machine will almost certainly be scrapped LONG before it has had a chance to scale up. A sad irony, but true.
Buying limescale products like Calgon are, in essence, like buying a “box of insurance” to prevent machine breakdown. But this is “insurance” you are unable to claim on should your machine fail. You will still have to pay to repair it…….. :rolls:

So why would anyone want to do that?

Dosing correctly (read the packet) and using a good quality detergent are the best ways to look after your machine. Use the machine as instructed by the manufacturer and reading the clothing labels ensures good results.
Save your Calgon money and very soon you’ll have saved enough for a new machine, even though your old one will still be working.
Never in 25 years have I scrapped a machine because it was irreparably scaled up……….. as Iadom said, “Snake Oil”…… 😉

Re: Neff S5443X2GB/42 dishwasher stops after 40 mins.

Yes….I did check that before you’d even asked…… 😉 The customer has been trying it on and off for the last few days (including the dispenser) and everything works on this machine except its reluctance to do a full cycle. 👿
Bosch / Neff dishwashers don’t normally cause me any difficulties, but this one has got me foxed. Everything is clear and all components function individually.
    Thanks for the reply,

    Re: zanussi dishwasher dw917

Are you sure the pink and clear tubes are on the right way round? The pink tube goes on the higher of the 2 sump nozzles. Swap them, release the valve and try it again. 😉 If that fails, the valve is knacked as Madmac says.

    Re: AEG Integrated DW

The airbox on the left side of the machine is attached to a black hose that runs into the sump (similar to old Hotpoint / Bosch d/w’s) This hose blocks and the airbox overfills and the excess leaks out of the small clear plastic hose that feeds it into the base tray. If you clear the black sump hose and it still leaks into the base, a new airbox is the only answer. Not cheap……. :rolls: Someone said on these forums many moons ago that the AEG engineers used to loop the clear plastic hose up in a ‘U’ shape after cleaning to prevent it reoccurring. I’ve not tried that myself – but worth bearing in mind.

Now the wash is down to 25 minutes and the “End” lamp flashes. The flat has 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} softened water, the customer has tried it on all cycles and the end time is give or take the same. I am thinking new PCB; unless anyone has any ideas……… 😕

    Thanks,

    OK John!!!!

    FOUND IT!!! 😀 😀

Part number – 481227618484. Cross referenced it on a UK Whirlpool parts site. Connect list it but don’t stock it at £33 + VAT. I expect this switch is set to be a popular part as the sprung plastic clip that holds it in place is flimsy and cracks.

    Thanks to all!!!!!

    Happy Steve. 😀

    Thanks, guys!!

The switch shown as AP3180933 and 8318084 is exactly what I need!!! I’ll try Johnmac11 – see if he can help……. 😕
