Re: Whirlpool top loader lid switch.

This machine seems to be available new, but no parts sites anywhere list any spares for it…… :hmm:
Any help to find the part number for the lid switch would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve.

The heater heats to (by feel) the correct temperature. I don’t get the low salt connection though….. 😕 Thanks anyway Martin.

    Any other thoughts??

    Re: New van.

If you are looking at the Peugeot stuff, look at Citroen as it is absolutely identical and always cheaper. Fiat sell exactly the same vans as Citroen Peugeot but the Fiats have an alarming depreciation factor. Avoid!!
Look at http://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/ – this site is invaluable for vehicle comparison. It works for cars and vans. You can check vehicle stats side by side (mpg, tyre sizes, load capacities, dimensions etc.) and the insurance group is shown as well.
If you are contract hiring, (as I do) there are some brilliant deals to be had if you do your homework. 3 years contract, road tax included, free ply lining….and as it’s classed as a ‘hired’ vehicle, it is fully reclaimable off your tax. 😀 You also don’t take the initial hit of depreciation as you would do when buying outright.
I agree with Deltra – Mercedes Vito vans. 3 different lengths and twin side loading doors as standard….. mine is excellent!!
For contract hire deals, look at http://www.contracthireandleasing.com – the most comprehensive set of deals on the net. And believe me, I did the homework. 😉

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

    Re: Electrolux BIM310

    Right………

    Compressor (R600A: HQY 90AA type) part no. 2063291005. @ £41.16 + VAT.

    Relay part no. 2003617723. @ £15.26 + VAT.

    Capacitor is a 4uF – use a generic one. @ £1.09 + VAT.

All the above parts cross – referenced on Connect site and their prices are shown. You could possibly beat them elsewhere……. 😉

    HTH,

    Steve.

P.S. BTW, the model number is ECM3057.

Re: Whirlpool top loader no motor drive.

Well, I fitted a drive coupling to this machine as the original one was worn on the motor shaft. Not a bad job after all.
Still no drive to the drum or paddle. I’m pretty sure the gearbox itself is knacked, so what next? I should have heeded the “don’t get involved” gut feeling I had when I started this job.
    Any further ideas welcome!!

    Thanks,

    Steve.

    Re: K59 stats

K59 is also known as Danfoss No. 5, Ranco VT9 and Whirlpool W4. The Whirlpool ‘stats are amongst the cheapest at around £3.20 + VAT (standard length capillary) and £4.65 + VAT for the long capillary version. (from Connect.) They are available everywhere by any of the names above. Take your pick…….

All of them are a lot cheaper than Lux………. 😉

    Thanks guys!!

By “pull the motor”, do you mean unbolt the motor from the gearbox? I can’t find the coupling listed. 😕

    Re: elux ewd1409i

Oh dear…….I had BAD problems with one of these – only thanks to Alex on this site I managed to sort it out. (see my posting for the same machine on page 7 of the trade tech listings). Not good….. 🙁

The interlock shorts and blows the main PCB. Mine was blown in six places. This in turn blows the display (fascia) PCB. Almost always. No marks will show on this board, it just fails. The start button LED flashes but the machine is inoperative.
After I fitted the interlock, PCB and the display board, the machine would lock the door and……nothing. Ran diagnostics and the display flashed E31. (pressure switch fault). The analogic pressure switch was also blown!! 😯 😯
So one very, very expensive repair. I believe that Electrolux are fully aware of this problem. 😉 What rubbish!!

Hope that helps and best of luck,

    Steve.
