ParticipantRe: Prima LPR813/01 oven clock confusion.
Hi, Bryan!!
Yep, I know it sounds strange, but when the 2 wires are removed from the relay and plugged together, the lamp stays on even with the selector switch in the Off position. I had exactly the same oven at a different address about a fortnight ago. Tried every combination to get the oven to work manually only, but the result was the same. Lamp in the oven lit all the time. When the wires are joined the lamp must receive a permanent live from somewhere. I have looked hard at the selector switch to see if I could use one of the switches on it to break the live supply when the selector was at “0”. No spare ones.
I think I need a wiring diagram if such a thing exists………. 😕
Anyone have one????Thanks for the reply,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Bosch WTL6106GB/07
Hi, Lawrence. :waving:
It’s a sensor drier; condenser type. It’s probably the probe in the filter housing (accessed from the r/hand side panel) which unplugs easily. Reasonably cheap part – 154166 @ £8.74.
Just for reference: the PCB is 495605 @ £127.49. Both prices are from the Bosch website.HTH,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: hoover logic A3794 f6 fault
Most common faults with Logic series machines are blocked pressure bottle, motor brushes and pump failures (sole pumps) or blockages – having no filter. I think EMW may still do the timers and modules for them IIRC.

I need 2x ISE 5 and 1x ISE 2 when you can, please Ken – and do you have any brochures for ISE?
Can you post some photos of the ISE dishwasher please? I haven’t seen it yet. Thanks!!Steve.

No…. helo is honest – and cynical like the rest of us. 😈 But where most of us state our point of view on today’s flimsy offerings, helo writes it in big letters on a cricket bat and whacks you with it. :rotl:
You can but admire the man…… :tup:Steve.

ParticipantRe: Work provider contracts
Hi, Adrian!!
So sorry to hear about your situation mate – that is appalling and disgusting treatment. All the work you did was in good faith and despite the fact that you could have, if you had known, terminated the contract early. Do they really expect you to go away quietly? I’m spitting blood on your behalf!!
Surely this is illegal? To get work done without payment amounts to theft of your time, fuel and resources. Every time I think of expanding and taking contract work, someone gets royally shafted and I have to reconsider. I’ll probably never do it now…….:rolls:
I think your idea of the contract that converts this situation into a two way street to protect the indies is a good move. Coupled with Ken’s ‘contract calculator’ it could at least flag up any anomalies before an indie signs their life away.
I think that your posting in General Forum was wholly justified, despite what Martin said about making waves. I can understand where he is coming from but equally, you have to warn others of your fate.
And anyway, Service Force have the right of reply. They know where we are……:wink:Steve.

I know how you feel!! 👿
I have one ATM with a detached pump – not fitted properly from new; all the mounting lugs were broken off but it was screwed in place!! They have just had it installed in their kitchen but unfortunately, it had been sat in the garage in a box for the last 13 months so out of warranty!! First time they used it, it flooded the kitchen!! The new pump won’t fit!! The lugs broke off as I fitted it!! 😈 It’s a Haier – chinese made heap: so not surprising!!
Have you checked the retaining ring on the salt compartment? I have had several that are loose and leak with no perceptible trace. Also leaky seams are not uncommon.Hope you have better luck than me!!! :rolls:

ParticipantRe: Zanussi DE6744s water drain time out
Sounds like the IWMS unit is blocked and not releasing the pressure switch. They are almost impossible to clean effectively. Replacement is the only surefire way to solve filling and pressure switch related faults.
Have you cleared the horizontal pipe that runs across the bottom at the front of the machine? Blockages here cause all sorts of problems.HTH,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Bosch WTA3200GB/06 drier – no heat
Thanks for the reply, Martin!!
I pulled the connection plug off the NTC to check that while I was at it, but the machine just went dead and wouldn’t even select a program. It just flashed the ‘iron ‘dry’ lamp and did nothing. Reconnected the NTC and off it went again. 😕Steve.

ParticipantRe: zanussi fs1255s
If you select a program, press start and the door doesn’t lock, first substitute the interlock. If it still doesn’t lock or the ‘End’ lamp flashes, suspect PCB.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint DT77X Built in Double Oven – No Heat
The link referred to is under the right hand side tags on the selector switch looking from the front. (it is under the first tags on that side) It is a very small copper coloured plate that slips over the 2 tags and links them. Very easy to miss. 😉 They have a habit of blowing and the circuit is broken. Remove all traces of the link to avoid it getting in the selector mechanism.
Make up a stout link wire with piggyback amp tags and fit it to span the broken connection.HTH,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Bosch WTA3200GB/06 drier – no heat
Cheers, Greg!
Unfortunately, once the heat has turned off (only really on for the first 20 – 30 seconds or as long as the drum is rotating that way) it is then switched off (relay clicks off on PCB); drum reverses and the heat never comes on again. I have let it run for several minutes with wet washing inside and it tumbled back and forth several times but no heat, except on the first tumble.
Is the NTC, the one in the door under the filter involved? The machine has little chance to build any level of heat at all in the time allowed. 😕
‘Tis a strange one…….. :rolls:Hope you can assist further,
Steve.

ParticipantRe: Hoover AC170 dial required
You will probably find the new part is modified – the original had sharp, almost gear – like teeth that would wear and foul on the microswitch button. This would make program selection very notchy and rough. The new modified one has a slow ‘wave like’ activating edge and is smooth and precise.
HTH,
Steve.
