Actually I didn’t 🙁 I’ll go back to check that….. but if it is alright, then what else should I be looking for?
asp11
ParticipantAlright thank you, I’ll remember that in the future

ParticipantThe drain hose goes straight onto the sink u-bend, so thats fine
AND the dryer part works and heats up so I discounted any of that to be a fault actually, so if the Linear pressure switch didn’t solve it then the board must be the only other fault I’m guessing?? shame!

ParticipantDWSERV wrote:Any weird faults on Beko/Lamona dishwashers first port of call is the wiring harness at bottom of the door
Yes you’re right I really should have looked there but I’ve not had those kind of problems for years now!!??

Participantkaibart wrote:Normally there is a broken wire when they don’t fill the 2 thing black wires are Normally the culprit
Do you mean the wires from the impellor jug (purple ones) or do the thin black wires go onto something else?
I’m sure the fill valve wires a normal thickness wires?…… In your experience, do they break in the bottom door harness area or somewhere else? I did pull on various wires but nothing appeared broken:(February 9, 2021 at 4:34 pm in reply to: Zanussi washer dryer – Display faint or not on at all #474994asp11

Thanks Jem – I was thinking this actually because of the block with red wires going from the main pcb to the smaller dryer pcb….. Maybe that is the answer??

common fault makes display light up but no figures on screen
Dave
Hiya Dave – I didn’t think to try that…. but there’s hardly any light at all coming up on the display let alone figures!!

Participantwell I certainly don’t like spending money on parts without being 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure what is really, so Dave is right… it could be the display pcb at fault perhaps (did unplug cables)…….. SO with all that advice, I think its best if Hoover take over!!! Thanks very much
asp11
ParticipantI did a part number enquiry with Connect……. they claim the main pcb (49042680) is programmed ready to go…… Do you think thats correct or not ??!?
I really dont want to order the pcb, wait 3-4 weeks then find out it needs to be programmed by Hoover!! Is it worth the risk?
asp11
Participantaha, so the main pcb needs to be programmed by a Hoover engineer?
asp11
ParticipantThanks for the info…… I’ll return to test the elements & run the self test
asp11
ParticipantI wasn’t sure what that part attached to the compressor does, so went for the pcb…… So if its a common part that fails according to your fridge guy then thats good enough for me Dave……… I dont have an account with AWSO so will have to go with Connect or apply for an account?
Thanks again
asp11
ParticipantAlrighty, thanks Dave
asp11
ParticipantI’m not sure what “neutral switched” means Dave?
I only actually tried the 2 end wires for mains but not the middle one….. but maybe it also had voltage going to it
The 3 pink wires go directly to the pcb, so logically it has to be the pcb at fault…… but it might be worth going back and trying the diagnostic test?
asp11
ParticipantMight it be the same or similar to a NTC which fits into the dryer duct of a washer dryer vent? I’ve got some of those to compare readings? …… could I fit one of those maybe?
