Not so sure about the heater Chris. I would go for a fill problem.

    Perhaps the pressure switch?

    Re: hotpoint DWF50P NO HEAT

I fitted a new relay on one of these the other day. Damn site quicker and cheaper than a new module!

The heater is switched in the neutral. Check that there is live supply to the heater. If there is live then the chances are you have a fault on the board. (the heater is energised at the same time as the dispenser opens… always a useful tip).

If you don’t want to change the relay, the boards are not that expensive. Only £15 or so from Connect.

Takes two minutes to get the motor out.

Clear all water from the sump first.

Go to back of machine and take of lowr back panel (plastic bit)
You will find the motor bracket is held in by two screws retaining the motor.

When the bracket is off the motor will just pop out.

Be a bit carefull when putting it back as you can twist the ‘o’ring. A bit of fairy helps.

    Hi John. Welcome to UKW

There is a diagnostic test program and a fault code built into the circuitry on these machines.

If you send me your email address I can forward you the info.

    Re: Candy CIV60 fan removal

I just drill a 10mm hole though the plastic fan to allow access to the screws. Drill one 180degrees opposite to allow for balance.

The motor assembly is not too expensive actually.

The thermistor comes as part of the module. It is connected to the module and clips under the dispenser clamp.

    Re: askoll

Yep.. That’s the correct bit. The askoll pump is now replaced by a ‘proper’ motor and pump.

Worth taking a new jubilee clip with you as a special tool is required to fit the supplied clip 🙁

    Edit…

I carry a few WPL481940118174 clips as van stock

    Very useful clips

The title and position of this thread doesn’t really say what it is about 😕

Are you trying to keep numbers down? or perhaps only trying to attract the core members?. If not it might be prudent to post this on the general trade forum.

I don’t think I’ve been to one of these ‘huge Askoll pumps’ that hasn’t had a leaking pump outlet hose.

    Check there first.
