Have you meggared the machine? An earth fault on the heater can cause this fault.

Is the rate the same for all appliances?

I could not talk a customer out of paying this for a tumble dryer 😯

    ER! Model number?

    could be 481227128407

That’s the black unit with the microswitch built in to the top. If its the optical one (transparent plastic) then you will probably need the model number.

    Re: Whirlpool OWI failure

    Optical Water Indicator.

It’s the device at the three o’clock position in the sump of the machine. If the error code points to this then believe it even if the device seems ok when testing with a test meter.

Sometimes the error code shows the fault as an OWI even if the device is the (microswitch) pressure switch system.

Some machines fill with a separate metering system (flow meter) but use this device as a backup safety water level test.

not something silly like the hoses the wrong way round? It will stick on first rinse on synthetic cycle if the appliance does not cool down.

Thanks boys. Still not sure why it’s not available through the normal outlets though.

Makes you wonder how much commission they get? I had one customer today that has been phoned back twice to see if they changed their minds after refusing the warranty deal…

Has anybody tried to use Quickbooks through their PDA yet? I believe the latest version of Quickbooks supports Windows Mobile.

If it works it would be sensible to upgrade to the latest version as I use quickbooks for my accounts.

I use an O2 XDA Exec.

It has its own keyboard. I always use a bluetooth headset and rarely need to write anything down on paper.

It is a bit limited on built-in memory and the calendar function has to use the built-in RAM and cannot store to the SD card. The lack of memory means that it can only carry 6 months or so history on the calender. This is the only real problem that I have encountered.

If the capacitor is open circuit or low capacitance then the symptom would be that the drum will start with a push, however if the capacitor is short circuit then the motor will simply lock up…

Not sure why it should do it when keying a G in password though…
