Water Distributor (top of soap box etc) has to be replaced as a complete unit. About £35+vat trade from memory. You’ll get the part from any supplier once you get the model no.

why do people on this site recommend them.Because they’re very well built , top quality , reliable appliance.
Being expensive for spares and difficult to repair doesn’t take away from the fact that over the course of 15 years the person who buys the Miele will probably spend less (over all) than the person buying a lower budget machine (probably 2 or 3 of them).
Sure the likes of you and I will probably not get any work from it but I think that’s irrelevent if your making a genuine recommendation on a quality machine and I’d be happy to recommend Miele to my neighbours/relatives etc. in the knowledge that it’s a well respected make and been at the top of the tree for many years.
That’s my view but sure there’ll be plenty disagree 🙂

Unfortunately , I don’t think anyone will have the info. on this one but here’s a link to their website http://www.britannialiving.co.uk/
Tel. 01253 4771111
Nice friendly spares department but expensive prices and no trade discount . I paid £50 for a pair of door hinges alone.
Top quality make but expensive for spare parts , there’s no getting away from that fact really IMO. Hopefully the type of person with a Britannia cooker will be willing to pay top dollar to have it repaired :D.

Good  , you do get the odd customer with a bit of common sense but not so many these days :rolls:.
Common motor that you know , sure to need another one next week if you don’t order two and sure to have it in stock for a year if you go for the pair at reduced price .

I’ll confirm your findings Jim .
Motor part no. 141344 , Masterpart doing 2@ £99:99+vat , might give you an outside chance of getting the job done and making a few quid at the same time.

Cheers guys , waiting for customer to phone me back , no doubt he’ll wait till he floods his kitchen floor again :rolls:.
Incidently the chaps at EMW suggested checking for loose edge connectors on the timer/pcb as this has been known to cause intermittent over-filling problems.
Will follow-up sometime in the future (hopefully :))

Strange 😕 , Masterpart list that element as TK14101 in stock @£7:99 each.

Hi Tony
I’d have a good look at the carbon brushes. Had one of these recently that was upsetting the electronics due to arcing at the commutator caused by brushes being very low.

ParticipantRe: Recommend a Movie
I’d add a couple of the Vietnam War films in here too…. Platoon and Full Metal Jacket.
Some great movies mentioned in so far , keep ’em coming. Seen most of them but for some reason Fargo is one I’ve missed and having now read some reviews and spoke to a couple of film buff mates it seems like one to watch , thanks Alex.
Enjoyed Rob Roy way ahead of Braveheart as a film and if you need any help with the dialogue there’s plenty of us to ask :). (eg. A wee whiff of q**m in the morning.)

Door lock is a 12496751213 which looks like a non solenoid door lock to me. 😕Clever devices these , if you remove power it’ll take a minute or two to release but if you forward to the end of cycle it’ll over-ride the delay and release immediately.
Hence the expensive price I guess.
Connect – £16:29 each or 2@£14:99
Bryan
PS – Just noticed Masterpart 2@£5:99 to anyone :D.

ParticipantRe: stoves 20251920 oven
Don’t know about this particular model but it’s classic symptoms of over temp cut off being activated. Possibly overheating due to faulty cooling fan motor or oven thermostat or even faulty over temp. stat itself.
