I think the Belling one is 2100watt as opposed to the 1400watt original.

This appliance is a built in double oven under the worktop, so we are speaking about two very small oven cavities, thus the low wattage element…..I think 🙂

That’s an easy one for me because I’ve been searching all week for a supplier with that element in stock without any success.

    Gen. Part No. 524021800

    Europart/Maddocks – 14-HY-4051

Good luck, I have it on backorder with my fingers crossed and customer warned that I’m NOT PROMISING to have it before Christmas.

You couldn’t make it up :rolls:

A few years back, just as I was leaving, I had a customer ask me “you couldn’t tighten my toilet seat for me before you go?”
As she was an old lady (even worse 😯 ) I went and sorted it for her.

I told this story to a friend of mine and every time I see him he asks “how many bog seats have you fixed this week then” 😆

Have you been wearing it today Martin ❓

Did you choose to pin it direct to your clothing or did you chance the swinging badge look :). Be very careful where you dangle it now , looks slightly dangerous to me .

I’m pretty sure all the Siemens WIQ range of machines have a 10 year parts and labour guarantee.

That’s interesting Wilf because I’ve had problems also with the pattern versions of this element in the past and fit genuine only nowadays.

Thought it was just my bad luck…… 😡

    Hi Sean

Is this exclusive number a normal number or some fancy 0845/0870 etc. number because I reckon the customers who turn to Yellow pages are looking for local telephone numbers that they recognise.
Without the local number I reckon many potential customers would just skip by the advert regardless of a local address.

silverbroom wrote:My thought for the day, depending on the size of your ad do yellow pages have a set price for advertising throughout the UK or does it change in relation to your area.

I think costs do vary from area to area depending on the circulation and size of area.

silverbroom wrote:For instance I have placed a 1/4 column one colour ad in my local yel under washing machines – spares & repairs total cost including art work, vat £642:73.

That is the same cost as me and if you break that down to £12:36 per week , I reckon it’s the best and most cost effective form of advertising there is.

The reputation of yellow pages also seems to vary around the country but for me it seems to attract mostly decent customers :D.

    Re: WF840 Pump start delay?

This is a classic symptom of a partial blockage , like a sock or colour catcher thing in the sump hose filter.
This model does give the drum a bit of a fast turn (during rinses) and if enough water has not been pumped out , it’s forced back out the soap drawer.

Don’t know about the delay in the pump starting but I’d keep things simple and pay very close attention to the sump hose.
