CPC used to do one…prolly still do…but a few years back i needed one for my Rayburn so i popped into a local heating suppliers. The first offered was wrong for the Rayburn, but was a plain K type thermocouple without any plug on the end…about 6 quid too 😉

5-7 mm of brush equates to no brush left at all!
Have a look in Shop@ for the brushes…if they’re not there give Dave_Conway a pm.
Before you fit the new brushes, give the commutator a clean with some fine emery and brush it out with a small brush (an old toothbrush is perfect)…this will extend the life of the new brushes.
I assume you have already done so but just to reiterate you must unplug the appliance before carrying out any work.

There is a blockage somewhere, or the pump is jammed/faulty.
Firstly check where the drain hose goes…if it attaches to the plumbing under the sink then you may be able to check there is no blockage at that point. If you can disconnect the hose at that point and put it in a bucket…run the machine and see if it drains. If it does then the blockage is in the drain plumbing, if not then you will need an engineer.

The pump is definitely jammed…might require a new pump but most likely it has a piece of bone or china chip in it.
Have a look in Repairs@ and you might find an engineer in your area. 😉

Unlikely to be a prblem with the vavle….much more likely its your house plumbing.
Can you manage to determine exactly where the hammer noise is coming from?….if you can manage to pull the machine out, the vavle is located at the rear of the mchine, inside and low down….you could check to see if the noise is coming from there?

Does seem a tad high but thats what you will have to pay when you deal with national retailers and manufacturers. You could look for a local independant who will probably be a little cheaper…just ask your friends/neighbours if they have used anyone they can recommend.
If you wish to attempt it yourself then firstly unplug the appliance. For an engineer it is an easy job, the thing to be most careful of is the very sharp door edges that are exposed when doing it.
If you contact Shop@ with the make/model/serial then the part can be supplied to you.
I should add that i have seen some pcb failures that will cause the dispenser to fail so unless you are competent to check for this then it would be better left to an engineer.

Hi Malc
Have a look in the sump at about the 3 o’clock position, there is a black plastic mesh which covers the pressure diaphragm, and also manages to trap all sorts of gunge preventing the diaphragm returning to the empty position. You can usually clean it from the inside with something like a piece of cable and flushing it after, but if its really sticky you’ll need to go underneath and unclip the diaphragm assy.

Yes I followed the coding instructions and am happy that I got it correct for the model variant, it seemed a little strange that one of the coding switches had been altered already. As I said it was sealed in the original box when received so this must have happened in the factory.

It will almost certainly need a new soap dispenser…the operating solenoid within it will most likely have failed.
If you look in Repairs@ you might find an engineer in your area, failing that then you can ring MFI (it’s one of their own brand machines) on :-
