    Re: replacing aeg cooker element

The element mounts are at the back of the appliance so it will have to come out of your kitchen housing to replace it.
You must ensure the appliance is fully isolated before attempting any work.
If you are unfamiliar with electrical repairs you could have a look in Repairs@ to find an engineer near you.

    Hi walnut

You might like to try Kitchen Economy on 029 2049 6816, they do keep a good stock of older bits.

    Re: home brew

Hi pup…..I have been known to brew the odd firkin or three 😉
….all done the traditional way with grain etc.

The two books i’d personally recommend are ‘Home Brewed Beers and Stouts’ by C.J.J. Berry, and ‘Brewing Beers Like Those You Buy’ by David Line.

You’ll find all you need to know in those, and as for a beer cooler well you might need one during production if you’re considering micro-brewery size production, but otherwise just stick it outdoors at night for a couple of hours (or a couple of minutes on Friday if the MET office have got it right) 🙂

    Re: Siemens SR64 Slimline D/W

I have had a faulty on/off switch give that fault (seperate contacts for L,N and neon IIRC), other than that if it won’t even go onto the test cycle then it sounds like a pcb. 🙁

    Re: Zanussi AL4 Problem

You will probably need an engineer to sort it for you, I have seen leaks on these, the worst case scenario being the wash pump seals (the cost of a wash pump is around £90).

Considering the young age of the machine it’s definitley worth a go, it may just be something small and silly anyway.

Have a look in Repairs@ for an engineer near you.

    Re: Zanussi AL4 Problem

You obviously have a leak there ….
If you post the model number and the nine digit ‘Pn’ number then we can be more specific.
You’ll find the numbers on a label on the edge of the door

Just a suggestion Martin….if the dryer has an overheat stat or thermistor then it may be faulty giving an overheat reading causing a default ‘cooling’run on the fan?
If not then I think you’re on the right lines with the module 😉

Re: Replacement of oven door seal on AEG D4100m oven

You will need to undo the front surround of the oven and ease it away from the cavities to release the seal, fitting the new one is the reverse. This means that really only the genuine seal will fit (i’m not personally aware of a pattern version for this particular oven)
If you have a go yourself then you must isolate the appliance before the screwdrivers come out.
If you are unsure about how to procede then have a look in Repairs@ for an engineer

Hi Ken….I would suggest you need a new battery. I too have a 6680 and get at least three days out of it, and the bluetooth is always on during the day whilst driving about. (this usually involves between 20 and 30 mins of talktime each day)
