Re: Neff Oven U1721N0GB/02 Blown Element Replaced but no Hea

the blown element could have also taken out the thermostat or over heat protector

you need to establish if voltage is present at element terminals when switched on at control

SUGGEST YOU GET A QUALIFIED ENGINEER TO CARRY THIS OUT FOR YOU..never work on live equipment

hi thanks for tips regarding relay on pcb

sod laws says it never is the first thing you thought it was

removed unit..240 volts at heater termionals after pre was

heater nearly open circuit on megger test

    so conclusion in line heater

now the best bit HOW IS IT REMOVED without seperating base unit from cabinet…tried long nose right angle pliers on clips..you cant get deep enough to remove sump clips and circulation pump clips

is ther a short cut to removal of element

    or method of removal

    thanks

Re: Stoves cooker – timer problems

your problem sounds like a faulty timer unit

have you checked it is set for MANUAL OPERATION and you can set a real time

if led is flashing it is normally the clock not set correctly and manual symbol not showing

Re: Bosch built-in oven – what have I done wrong?

rob clearly you have done damage to other components in the oven heating circuit.

    WITH THE POWER TURNED OFF!!!!

1] TEST FOR CONTINUITY OF CIRCUIT FROM THERMOSTAT TO CONNECTION ON HEATING ELEMENT..YOU WILL HAVE A FEED IN TO ONE SIDE OF THE THERMOSTAT AND THE OTHER GOES TO THE ELEMENT.

IN CIRCUIT COULD WELL BE AN OVER HEAT CUT OUT A ONE SHOT ONE ONCE GONE YOU NEED TO REPLACE)

ALSO TEST FOR CONTINUITY ACROSS CONTROL THERMOSTAT TERMINALS WHEN CALLING FOR HEAT( SELECT HEAT SETTING)

IT MAY WELL PROVE YOU HAVE BLOWN MORE THAN ONE COMPONENT WHEN YOU PUT PHASE DIRECT TO EARTH

THE JOB IS REALLY AN ENGINEERS ONE..SOMEONE WHO CAN TEST CIRCUITS WITH the CORRECT TESTING INSTRUMENTS AND A FULL UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT THE FAULT YOU INSTIGATE..What damage it would produce.

TO GET HER INDOORS BACK IN FAVOUR..I WOULD CALL A LOCAL COOKER REPAIR SPECIALIST OR IF YOU HAVE LOADS OF CASH BOSCH DIRECT as a new appilance is not cheap

Re: belling slot-in dual fuel cooker

isolate the supply circuit at the wall or consumer unit FIRST

    remove oven shelves

remove back cover ploate at rear of oven chamber this covers fan

inspect heating element…if its blown you can may see evidance of element being split of welding like marks

if not visable remove element and meter element to check for continuity

if no continunity then element is blown ( open circuit)

it is advisable to get circuit to element checked out as some element failures take out control thermostat also..in which case you will need a thermostat

in real terms an expert is the best route to take ie -an qualified engineer
diy is ok but BE SAFE and sure so get in an expert

    Re: Creda cooker 48339

as the clock is in real terms only a switching device..you can re arrange internal wiring to remove clock circuit completely

normally its a matter of removing live feeds and making direct connections neutrals to clock circuit in most cases does not effect oven circuit
