    Re: Stoves Newholme Range cooker

    hi

yes it will need to be dragged out, lubricate floor and look out for chain fixing at rear of unit, you need to remove back plate( isolate leccy first)

if you remove all control knobs and timer buttons you can remove facis plate and just about remove regulator and thread new reg sensor under gas hob

    small hands will help

    Re: Neff half turn elements

my supplier tests every one before selling, one cure is to bake in oven if resistance is moving towards earth

not convinced baking cures problem but supplier says returns have reduced,

there is a major problem with all elements, how do you first of all know gen from non-gen, as most of the ones you take out only have voltage and wattage on them

why do we accept this crap anyway no country of origin where is the quality control

    Model EW52P

    thanks for scew extraction tip

this job was passed om to me as original engineer had not a clue on cookers..found mbc/rcd tripped as soomn as you switched on wall isolator..earth fault found on stat capi;;ary shorted to overheat TOC

re-route cables and fixed with cable ties

    tested hob all fine

tested grill and top oven all fine

come to test main oven…heat calling light on with no switch turned, oven element glowing like the sun.. you can turn control on and fan kicks in

so why is oven element getting a feed with no control being set…can we say that the earth short has taken out oven stat also

any wiring diagram would be helpful

    many thanks

have you checked if supply is maintained all the time when it is calling for heat, volt meter on element terminals will give you an indication

ok we know door look is faulty

so how come we have no other programme working other than drain pump

are we talking back feed to pump

or is it just a common fault that occurs when door interlock gives this scenario?

i would be quite happy if is just door interlock

    Re: DIPLOMAT DISHWASHER FAULT

thanks for info sheet, which is a very good guide.

as this appliance is my own, I have this morning stripped it down completely. My wife is a regular user of descaler so I was sure that the problem was not due to blockages.

as I discovered all oultets, water matrix, sump valve etc are clean as a whistle.

up on running unit without case you can activate anti flood micro switch and it works fine.

I have checked pressure pipes and they appear ok

I have decreased inlet water pressure also

but still it fills/pumps out and then finally pumps matrix empty

    any other thoughts most welcome

    Graham
