She also says her daughter in law has had a similar experience and a new door seal was the answer.
Don’t dye stuff in the washer might be good advice too! Always seemed a strange idea to me dying clothes black and then washing your nets or summat.

Went to a two year old house about six months ago to do bearings, heater, spider, and a power module on a wm70 something, and the machine was hard wired into a fused spur. Took at the fuse and switched it off up top, did all the work and tested it. Writing the bill out noticed the fuse was still on the worktop 😯 .
On investigating it further found that with the fuse out and the switch off the machine still ran :eeek: . Buy a new house, me, never!!!! Taught me a lesson though.Tony C

ParticipantRe: hotpoint vtd00 pulley
Ta gents.
This pulley seems a little…er…flimsy to carry the tension don’t it.
What are they thinking about with these direct drive arrangements when the pulleys were fine for years. A spray of wd40 😉 every now and then and they were ok for years.
I think Indypoint should buy Costcutters out too , it would be more bl**dy apt 👿Tony C

ParticipantRe: Noisy boiler, not the missus
Yep thanks, been fine since. 😀
I think a new boiler will be purchased over the next couple of months though. It looks a little battered from the previous owner 😥

The pressure guage for the system is faulty I think. Opened the tap for a couple of seconds before Chrimble and the noise has gone.

There’s a moral to this story.
Never mention a pussy when the missus has a strop on.
It’ll end in tears :lesson:Tony C

ParticipantRe: DHL and Their Lifestyle Couriers Grrrrr?
Always used to have problems with DHL, especially last Christmas when they used agency staff. The excuse was that they couldn’t find the shop which was the only one on the block set back a little but with a bl**dy great car park in front.
Recently we moved and until recently always got the mornings first drop. Until last week when a parcel turned up three days late.
Never had a problem with city Link though!Tony C
