ModeratorRe: Hotpoint RLA34 Not getting cold
Likely to be either short of refrigerant or a defective compressor

ModeratorRe: LEC T062W, fridge not working, freezer working.
Gurgling usually indicates either short of refrigerant or a defective compressor – you would need a fridge engineer to put on a set of pressure guages to be sure.

Have you tried qualtex part number c/s119 or diamond h direct

ModeratorRe: Gorenje WA61121 PCB blown
Fairly common for doing this if the brushes were low – usually takes the board out too. Masterpart or Independent keep the boards in.

Why not reprogram the one you have in place?? Or can you not get one already programmed from EMW

Check for ice on the evaporators and that the defrost heater, thermal fuse and sensor are OK.

ModeratorRe: Lec TF3604W firdge freezer
Another little funny you get with these is if the freezer is set too low ie at -24C rather than -20C the temperature in the fridge is all over the place. Best reset the freezer stat and fully defrost as my collegue stated.

ModeratorRe: Waste Carriers Licence
As I have understood the regulations, the person disposing of the item has to have decided (been informed) whether it is WEEE or not. ie If you tell them you are going to refurb it then its not WEEE if you say you are taking it down to the tip it is.

This is a fairly common fault on these modules. The module will have to be replaced and then cut off the edge connector wires one at a time and refit using normal spade connectors.

What was the original motor fitted, was it a hotpoint or a fhp??

ModeratorRe: Refrigeration Work
The gist of the thing is if you havent registered for an interim certificate then its too late to get on now, the only other option is to do a C&G 2078/9 course. Saving grace is that the cert only is required if you work on R134a charged appliances not required for R600a.

ModeratorRe: compressor
The original engineer is probably right – what I want to know is when you say the compressor turns on and after a short while turns off – how long is the short while? When it turns off do you hear a click and then after about 20 minutes does it turn on again ?
