As Mike says board is not interchangeable, may look the same but the software isn’t – try EMW

Tony, The sensor cabling is now foamed in although the sensors are visible. They are not available as a spare part. There is an extensive modification available but its expensive. What I would do is get the customer to defrost the whole appliance for 48 hours and then restart and see how they go – basically the fan housing and air ducts up to the fridge have frozen up.

Have a look in the main wash area of the powder dispenser and see if the powder/liquid divider is in the correct way. A quick check is to take it out and see if the water goes through correctly, also check that the rear flap is not jammed in the down position.

First thing you have to do is defrost it for 48 hours with the doors open. Once you have done that see how you go.

Re: Camping Fridge – how do you explain this?

Quite simply, your system relies on two chemicals that mix together and seperate as heat is applied. Over a period of time they migrate from where they should be to another place. If you turn the appliance upside down they go back to where they should be. This however does NOT work with a conventional system

Check the belt too as these will not spin at full bore if the belt is not really tight

Now since your appliance is covered by a 5 year parts guarantee by Hoptpoint, I would be trying to negotiate a replacement at a much reduced price 😆

Have you checked the windings on the motor, with it being an induction motor it has two windings, one set for spin and one for wash also check the start capacitor is OK. Finally, make sure the belt is very tight.

If I remember right the thermistors are foamed in and therefore not replaceable but first off check their resistances and let me know what you get. Secondly, you could try http://www.qer.biz and see if they have a test that they can carry out on the module.

Firstly, try ringing up Samsung service you will find that they are very helpful with this range. You should then get a call from one of their agents which should be APP Electrical Services. What’s your postcode?

Re: Hygena APM6815 with puddle of water

Firstly you have to find out where the water is coming from, is it from an overflowing defrost tray (the tray on top of the compressor) a split defrost tray or is it that the insulating foam is actually waterlogged. From what you are saying it would seem that the drain hole is not blocked. What you need to do is get the fridge/freezer out of its cabinet and have a look see. Once you have located the source of the water report back and we’ll help you again.
