Dry out the base – leave it for a couple of hours and then retry the machine it may just be the float switch in the base. Power off first please

No – more like, more scrapped machines, more complaints about quality, lack of brand confidence and educated change to a better product. ❓

Normally, the stat in the fridge controls the refrigeration operation and the one bolted to the back just switches the warning light on/off. Change the fridge stat for a VT9 and all should be in order.

Re: Samsung fridge – how to fit external water supply ?

I would have thought that you would not need a pump to feed water into the fridge/freezer as long as the water level was above the top of the unit. I would suggest that the fill time for the ice maker would have to be increased to allow for the small head of water but water into the chilled water system should be able to fill by gravity. As a trial what I would try is to connect the fill hose up to a large bottle of water have someone hold it up near the ceiling and then press the levers at the front and see if water comes out. Best of luck.

The red light just indicaters that the thermostat senses that the temperature is not within its operating range. You have just defrosted it so it should go off as soon as it gets down to the correct temperature. If not call back

Yep – but make sure you are disconnected from the electric when you change it over, as you have a permanent live supply connected and it might give you a tickle and blow the electronic board up if you dont.

Since you have used up some of your valuable time, send him a bill for £100 as a consultance fee. That at least should have him thinking
