The sheet of powdered ice on the back of the fridge is caused by the door seal but unless its about 2 inches thick shouldn’t cause a freeze up.

Or hows about a conventional tub fitted to a washer where the front nor back won’t come off and you have to take it out through the top. Well done Gorenje :rolls:

Richard – Need a couple of answers – does it have one or two motors (compressors) at the back. In answer to you question about freezing – yes and no, it would cause the cooling area of the fridge to freeze over but it should not really affect the fridge temperature. Look forward to hearing from you – Ian

You will probably need to change the evaporator cover if there is no great issue with ice build up. This can be sourced from ‘shop@’ on the left sidebar.

Re: SORRY YET ANOTHER SAMSUNG RS21DCNS

You raise a number of issues which perhaps we should address. Firstly is the appliance still under the Samsung 2 year guarantee? Secondly, was it an authorised Samsung repairer that carried out the repair? Once these are cleared up we can sort out your problem but surfice to say if the repair had been carried out correctly you should not have a further payable repair. The main causes of these problems are usually – either or both of the two heaters are not working, the thermal fuse is blown, the defrost sensor has failed or it has a got an evaporator cover fault. We all make mistakes but these all should have been checked at the time of the engineer visit. If you press and hold the two top facia buttons in, the facia digits will start to flash (keep the buttons held in) the facia goes blank and you should if there is a fault see part of a number digit stay alight on either the fridge or freezer display. If you post which one it is then we can take you further.

Re: Samsung RS21NCMS, problem with fridge…

First things first do this – press and hold the top two facia buttons, the display will start to flash (keep the buttons held in), the facia will go blank and then tell us if any of the lines that make up the freezer/fridge numbers light up. This will indicate what you need replacing. In all probability you will need an evaporator cover, a temperature sensor and possibly a thermal fuse.

This freezer is electronically controlled by the front panel controls. A thermistor (electronic thermostat) measures the temperature and feeds back the info to this control board. Alarm sounds if the temperature goes above that required. Could be either faulty board/thermistor or inability of the motor (compressor) to get the appliance down to correct temperature or a shortage of refrigerant

Is the click from round the back near where the motor is ?? If so you have a duff motor (compressor) will need a fridge engineer to help you out. What area are you in or alternatively see repairs@ down the sidebar.

Goes like this original part number 998005000 superceded to 720054000 pump with impellor, alternative MTR10053 with impellor but more expensive or 512006200 pump with no impellor. The 5031 etc is connects own coding of whichever pump :rolls: Hope that helps.
