In defence of the engineer, Samsung have just moved their spares department from the UK to mainland Europe. Its taking alittle of time for them to get the supply chain going but they are starting to get on top of it now.

May be wrong as I haven’t seen this one but if it’s a Indesit clone we used to have a special pair of pliers to fit them. Even then it was a nightmare.

Samsung RS series – fairly cheap for what it is with 2 years parts and labour guarantee. Out of guarantee still not too expensive to repair.

Being a small operation I would not normally order ten at a time unless it was a selection making up the ten. However, one that I would be interested in buying in tens is the – Qualtex HTR33 (Hotpoint 161534) automatic element. Can be used on the range of 95/WM (with an easy mod) washing machines.

I have every sympathy for the loss of your van but am alittle annoyed at your response. I offered you an opportunity to get work together with a telephone number and my recommendation. It seemed that you had work offered by Ian and decided not to tell him you were having problems. Whilst you may be an excellent engineer (as most of us are on this forum) you communication skills with the company who was offering you work left something to be desired. I am pleased that you have managed to sort something out and wish you the best of luck recovering you vehicle.

Depending on the circumstances of the previous poster – perhaps you should get someones house in order before you start asking for work?? We all try to help each other out on this forum but one of the major problems with sub contracting work out is that the engineer must be committed as much to your business as to his own. Simply, if you don’t want to commit, dont take on the work.

Ive had a couple of these with the same fault as yours – usually caused by customer poking something through from inside to remove a frozen cube of ice.

Hi – First point, this machine is guaranteed for 2 years covering parts and labour. If still in guarantee I suggest you contact Samsung for a free service call. I its out of guarantee you probably have a fault with the electronic control module.
