Could be something caught in the wash motor impellor , giving poor circulating pressure
I wish that was the case but a lot of the time it washes perfectly fine and then only at the end does it do the odd continuous wash pump thing

Thanks Martin.
I’m thinking it has to be the board too, but i refuse to admit it without checking that I’ve not missed anything…cheers

Found the pump had been removed and not refitted properly, he swears he never took it out!, it was twisted back in at an angle and was leaking constantly.
Refitted it correctly and checked all else and ran it with no problems. She phoned me later to say that it had the same problem “but at least its no longer giving electrical shocks”
“what!” i said
“oh yeah, did i not tell you that, after my hubby looked at it it was giving shocks, but its not now so thats good, back to the original problem”told her id look at it again tmro and start from the beginning.

He just got back to me to say it only works if he puts his weight against the door.
He said his son is a kitchen fitter and he put it in so you were spot on.Cheers

It’s Ed4.
I had one a while ago and if I remember right the service manual (which, when I’m home, I can send you if you PM me your e-mail address) said it’s the drier board or washer board depending on a couple of tests.
I rang a mate of mine, an engineer in zanussi, and he said it’s usually one of the two.The machine I looked at was 4 and a half years old so I rang zanussi for the customer and they sent out some one to repair it for call out fee only.
However, Zanussi Dublin told me that if the machine was bought in Currys or someother outlet that doesn’t sell machines out of the Irish warehouse that it’s not covered by the Major parts warranty, so there!
I gave her the s/n and this was ‘one of theirs’ so it wasn’t a problem. All that being said, I never rang the customer back to see how she got on, must do that today…

ParticipantRe: bosch t/d pcb swap
Good call Martin, I’ll try the latter first and even if they’re not the same I think I might then try the former as they want to throw it out anyway…
Wish me luck…Cheers
