Hi Alex
The humming sound would seem like the water valve is calling for water.
I would double check to make sure that there are no kinks in the fill hose and also check that the tap is actually turning on, as some times the tap handle turns but the shaft of the tap doesn’t. HTHDel
Remember power off when attempting any investigations

Surely there is a case to be had against the processed food manufacturers who use food dyes that might inadvertently affect certain materials and plastics used in the construction of some domestic appliances, which they have not warned about on their product labels.
The only certainty is that there are those who will always make a good living out of promoting the blame culture that pervades through our society today. I am obviously talking about that section of our society who would feel that £200 wouldn’t even cover lunch, let alone a dishwasher.

With Regards to the P&G training we know that the troops really dont want to see us untill mid january when things start to quieten down so we should be using this time to put pressure on P&G to give us all the tools they promised to help us sell the package. Things such as :-
A) THE COMBINED LAUNDRY/DISHWASHER TRAINING PACKAGE
B) THE SHIRTS AND FLEECES FOR THE TROOPS
C) THE FREE SAMPLES FOR THE TROOPS
We need them to know that our best chance to deliver the training for them will be from mid jannuary onwards so we need all the tools and bribes in place to help us to get bums on seats.
If they give us all the promotional stuff that they promised we can turn it all around, as the troops will then help us to advertise it through word of mouth and glowing reports on UKW forums.
It is no use giving us the tools when its all too late. A classic example is The case of Alex who was well used to getting some freebies from the electrolux route and had we been able to deliver same, would have been more likely to have helped out when it came to getting the all important survey sheets completed and sent in.
We need to push for all the tools now if we want to stand a reasonable chance of hanging onto the contract.

My only concern is that Indie does not become another bottomless money pit, with nothing to show after months and months of development.
We have to be up and running with ISE from the 1st of Feb and this date has already been put back once, as has ACH.To do so again would blow a serious hole in our credibility, therefore would it not be prudent to have an off the peg system apraised and investigated beforehand, just in case.
Am I right in thinking that ACH has to have the capability of being able to talk to all systems. It seems a little bit worring that it has to have a tailor made system to talk to it on our behalf.
I am not belittling the complexity of the task involved in writting code and designing the software but we have given ourselves deadlines that have to be met and it’s just that, rightly or wrongly I dont feel that others share our sense of urgency even though they stand to gain as much as anyone, if the venture proves successful.
Another idea may be to install a similar phone extension to the one used by Dave at the moment at my home address to handle enquies re ISE sales and enquiries which could be defaulted too if the Nursery St. line is busy.

I wonder if the Deppers have actually sat back and thought about the fact that with all the hassel and grief they are causing the troops with some of their shite contracts, That once the work starts to disapper then so will all the orders, even for the stuff they were doing before becoming a WP.
As we all know the average age of engineers is 50 plus so we all have long memories. They must be banking on us being a very forgiving lot.

All well and good but always remember that our willingness to remain open to dialouge does not mean that when they shit on us or their network (our members) that we will not be restrained from shouting it from the rooftops.
Whitegoods have given them the bloody nose, that they well deserved with their clawback policy on LG jobs. not to mention their version of fairness when it comes to double man calls/ direct call booking and the like.
They also know, that we know, that they have used backstabbing techniques to try and queer our pitch on the wash technology training programe. They really dont like being viewerd as bad guys.
We all now fully realise that the honeymoon period is over and that we are watching them like hawks.
I for one am not sorry about this, as it was beginning to look like they were getting an easy ride compared to other work providers.
From here on in it will be tit for tat and I belive that is a far better and more honest basis for a relationship that the lip service we have been paid so far.
as ever jmho

Hi
This tripping means that there is either a dead short or an earth fault on your appliance therefore you really need to call in an engineer.
why not try the Repairs@ link in the coloum on the left.Del

They told me the reason they asked me was because they needed a very special kind of person for this particular task.
“Someone not too bright who can lift heavy things?” I enquired.
You got it in one they said !

It would appear that silly season has started a tad early this year ! we’ve been flat out busy for the last month. Still we all know that traditionally it all quiet’s down mid Jan. So just go for it while its there and make a buck while you can.

ModeratorRe: JF and Dasa
I think you will find that under the present constitution as it stands at present he is allowed to be a councillor but without any voting rights.
Do I take it that he has parted company with his present employer in Bolton or is this a takeover of some kind by his existing employers.
I did actually personally challenge the legality of his retaining his seat on council after moving into his last job at the council meeting in Scotland but I was told that his new employers were a well established company and that thier joining was largely due to his employment, the majority view was that some latitude had to be granted.
It would seem that he changes jobs with some regularity, perhaps dasa may need to consider supplying him with some special kind of passport
just to keep pace with him and his neumerours appointments.I cannot say anymore as I have apparently been removed from dasa council along with my access to the council forum for reasons that have not been made very clear to me.

I dare say there is quite a bit of dead stock out there in repairland
I was speaking to a guy in south wales only this week who took over 10k’s worth to the local tip. It was either that or pay tax on it, yet again, he said. The other thing to remember is that a lot of agency guys end up with more than a little excess stock so it may be worth making a few discreet
equiries about stock disposal but only for boxed and sealed stock otherwise we could end up with a shed load of crap. This could be a real money spinner if done right.

ModeratorRe: The Future Of DASA
You seem to have missed the point that Mark, Jason, Phil, Scott, have all had the training offered by UKW and are even participating in the survey. So does this not say anything about Dasa members, or is Dasa only judged by one man’s actions. You have even had contact by another dasa officer with regards to project x. That really only leaves just one man, now doesn’t it
Like I’ve been saying all along, we will make far more headway with constructive idea’s and mutual co-operation than we will with the one sided slagging sessions we saw in the trade forums in the past. I for one
am glad to see that the vast majority of both camps are working for the greater good.So let’s just get on with it.
