ParticipantRe: One for the Hotpoint specialists
Good calls lads. I can see the logic in both posts. I’ll certainly check them both out. (Still hate inherited jobs though 😛 )
Thanks for the help.Brian

ParticipantRe: Ariston Li62 faulty control panel?
IIRC there are plastic lugs on the facia panel that hold it in place. If these have broken off then you will also need a facia panel.

ParticipantRe: DIPLOMAT ADP 8332 DISHWASHER FAULT
Haven’t looked it up but if memory serves me right the module for this one is in the door and it’ll be the module that’s packed in.
Other possibility is a flooded base. This can cause the exact fault you’re having especially if it’s got the Asko pump motor fitted.DP

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AWG 329 1100 won’t drain
Have had this several times before. Most times it’s a coin or something stuck in the sump hose that intermittently blocks the pump. (Acting like a flapper valve).
Worth a check.DP

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint drum lifters
Hiya,
I need version 1 for the machine I’m working on, BG are supplying version 2 for every machine. I’ve got the part numbers now so Technical will get a roasting on Monday 😆
Thanks to all for the info.Brian

ParticipantRe: ADG 6552 7 flashes
Most likely cause is the flowmeter, try tightening the connections at the flow meter and at the module.
Before moving jobs I had a few of the newer machines giving error codes that had nothing whatsoever to do with the fault. For example one machine was flashing F7 and had a flooded base, another Flashing F4 turned out to be a duff NTC.
In the main the faults were mostly attributed to the NTC, flowmeter connections, pressure switch and corrupt software on the module (no heat was the usual one for the software).Brian

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool American Fridge Freezer broken down – help!
When you’re dispensing water do you hear a clicking noise?
If so, one of the relays on the main board is chattering, the cure is a replacement board. (In the case of your machine, both boards).DP

ParticipantRe: Wanted Low wattage washer for caravan
I had my washer and dryer in a bunker at the back of my caravan. The floors in most statics aren’t strong enough for a washer and need reinforcing.
Residential models normally have the reinforcing installed at manufacture.Brian

Hiya,
If the Whirlpool engineer diagnosed correctly I think you’ll find it more expensive. If memory serves me correctly there was a change to the main boards in 2003 (after your model) and it would entail changing both the main board and the front panel.DP

ParticipantRe: Wanted Low wattage washer for caravan
Depends on whether it’s a residential or holiday home park.
Some holiday home parks only have “tourer” hook up points for the statics and they take the statics off site at the end of the season.
(I used to have one 😛 ) They’re still 240v but may only be a max of 13 amps or less. (Cheap installations)Brian

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint wd71 control module does it need setting?
Yep. it sure does.
Hold buttons A, B and D, switch on.
Release buttons and press A to cycle through different machines.
Press start to save.
Switch off and back on. Should be working then.
(This is from memory, if I find my notes and they’re different I’ll repost.)Brian

ParticipantRe: Another Intergrated D/W problem
What error code is it flashing? Have you tried the “engineer” test program?
