ModeratorI am sure the OP has sorted his query on his issue which he reported back in January this year as he has not returned with any further info. Miele must have sorted it for him.

ModeratorWell it has to be there somewhere 😀
You need to think a little outside “the box” If there is no socket or isolation switch under it, then something must be over it or to the side or even behind it!! If you cannot find anything you could switch off the sockets at the fuse board in order to defrost. Not ideal but it would get the job done.
Good luck

The machines I viewed yesterday seem to have a bit of an overhanging ledge where the pipes are concealed so I’m thinking a depth of 63.4 would be okay as long as it’s only the door and wheel sticking outThis is okay if your plumbing is running that way and that low which invariably they are not.You really need to pull the machine out for a proper inspection and measure.
The cut away is also for skirting boards 😉

ModeratorThe Candy you have is a slim depth washer dryer which is 54cm deep. If the machine is pushed back as far as it will go then you have problems. It may be the case that some pipework behind may be causing the problem. Before you start selecting machines further investigation is required as to why the slim depth was installed in the first place.
Loads more late night reading here on spin speeds, fast washes and more.

Of the two, which one would you recommend?
AEG every time, better made, service and spares more readily available and although it’s a Zanussi in a skirt much better than a lot of others currently on offer.Don

ModeratorThe only way of telling is to measure what is currently installed or post me up the make and model number please.
An 8 kg is more than enough for a family of three going on 4 and I would no go higher on spin than a 1400 😉
As for those stains most will but don’t as the public fail to use the correct programme and dosage of powder!! There is a large raft of info here which covers all this and more, some very late night reading for you.

ModeratorBosch 9kg are about the same as well. You will need to reduce the capacity in order to reduce the overall depth could be worth looking at 8kg machines.

Most of the laundry was Vestel made.

10 years on parts, yes. Labour on a chargeable basis.

ModeratorBy my calculation week 5 2003 or 2013.
I would say 2013 as 9kg machines were not really around in 2003. so it’s seven years old.
Even it if was two years old it’s broken so it needs fixing. Back to landlord 😉

What is your opinion on the Hotpoint NSWF943CW washing machine? It seems to have all the functions of the AEG and Samsung but at a much lower price.
Buy cheap buy twice, much rather have the AEG.
