ModeratorRe: ISE 10 F1 fault.
F1 with just the first red segment around the start/door open switch indicates a door not closed problem.
F1 with all the segments light up means an overfill problem.dont forget to reset the program (holding start button down for 5 secs, switching off/unplugging will not re set it) before testing as it will still flag up the error code even if the fault has been repaired.

ModeratorRe: Smeg DWI710E1 blown tracks on PCB
Often just caused by a dry joint on the heater relay gradually burning out and eventually flashing over to other tracks. If the centre of the damage is the heater realy I would suggest its nothing more than the pcb itself and maybe the heater wire terminals. If the machine has a seperate button and display board however it may have damaged this as well, Had a few like that and needed to replace both boards. If its a self contained single pcb then, assuming you have checked everything else I would just go for a pcb and terminals.

dont forget that vat returns to 17.5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} at the end of Jan. Pretty soon the public will wake up to that fact and I am expecting a rush on orders for higher priced products such as an ISE 10, it will be a shame if we cannot deliver on that.

favorite leak points are the upper spray arm tube at the rear just behind the circ pump or the screws around the filter being loose. other than that its usually the circ pump or the 2 o rings in the right hand (as you look at the front) side panel where the air break meets the water softner, not such a common leak point on these as it is on the 60cm ones though. You can remove the base with the machine in situ and watch for drips.

There isn’t even an appliance repairers section in the drop down list. The only reference i can find is “Fitted Appliance Repair” under Electricians.
Aren’t any UKW members trustmarked?
you msut have been asleep at the meeting when they gave the presentation Andy. I was!

ModeratorRe: Pat Test Failure Whirlpool ADP4501/5
…am out of it too much latley but what is “touch current”? Is that what we oldies called earth leakage? If so its not strictly part of the portable appliance test and many testers dont even have the facility and given the fact that to test it the machine needs to be running and yet the test does not last long enough even to get the start button pushed, yet alone get to the heating phase then it is irrelevent. I had several Bosch dishwashers fail on earth leakage even before the (old fashioned now) double pole on off switch was pushed in. I by passed the mains filters and they passed, ordered 2 new mains filters at customers request and, guess what failed again.
well its health & safety and to cover yourself better advise the tax payer buys 2 new diswhashers and dump the old 2.eastlmark

If the pcb is ‘jammed’ (ie the buttons wont respond) then un plug the circulation pump and see it it free’s it off. even a tiny earth leak on the pump can upset the pcb in this way and may tie in with the slight leak evidence you mentioned.

The thread is a little confusing as you have posted a pic of a smeg made one but then suggest it uses an electrolux “pulse” type circ pump. Which is it?
If it is a Smeg one and you have tested everything you can then it may be a very slight earth leak on the circ pump, try disconnecting the pump and see if that releases the pcb buttons. -
