assuming the micro switch above the float in the base isnt being tripped by the base not being fitted correctly or air pressure in the pipe leading to it then it may be the jammed pump has duffed the pcb. Have you left it long enough at the start of the programme? Can be ages before it starts to fill properly-a good 2 or 3 minutes of continuous pumping and fill is pretty normal.

must admit dont know but should imagine the inner frame/cover 437703 will be held by hooks and needs to be carefully prised off. maybe even order one as its only £22 as it may break, as they do.
Did a bulb on one of these the other day, a good hour or so work including removal from housing a re-fitting. (as usual lead too short etc!)

As Chris states, but good chance this one may be dispenser only, if not quote, and change, both.

I’d agree that the (illegal) neon screw-driver is the most useful. I order them 10 at a time tho…

“Should I get up off me knees and get me proper flat screw-driver, or just try prising this with this neon?”

    SNAP!!! 😆

what exactly do you do with a neon screwdriver? (aside from prising stuff which a normal screwdriver would do) not used one since I was a schoolboy.

I am sure the impellors and seals for those are the same regardless of date, its just the motor mounting that differs….odd that Hotpoint list different seal/impellor kits for it. whatever version the number Don said is correct.

Jim, i know you said you tested the heater but try disconecting it completely and see if if comes to life. Just a tiny flicker of a megger needle to earth is enough to upset those boards IME.

phew, I almost didnt post the original for fear of embaressment at such a error. Glad to know I am not the only one.
I had already connected the suction side so blowing up the pipes was not an option at the time.
Odd thing is that the manufacturer goes to great lengths to point out the suction pipe with a big labeled arrow and yet that is quite obvious while the other 2 are not marked at all. Along with lack of wiring diagrams for some unusual starting devices and never marking the horsepower (yet most suppliers sell them by that rating) ratings they are not making life easy.
